Safety, trust & environment

Our Goal— We believe that all pups coming into our care should be treated as if they are our own(with lots of love!). We want your pup to feel like they’re on vacation while you’re away, so we will make sure to spoil them with lots of fun activities(mental/physical stimulation), love, & treats (if allowed). We know not everyone will get along 100% of the time so we do have some safety precautions put into place as well. We promise to always share both the good and the not so good news. Crate & Rotate— Occasionally, not all dogs coming into our care will get along with our pack and/or other guests; in these cases, we do what we call the “crate & rotate”. This is where we will figure out who gets along with who best, & set up multiple play groups. Since I can’t be in two places at once, those waiting for their turn to be out in the house or out in the yard will need to be crated as we only leave dogs unattended while they’re in their crate. This is for everyone’s safety! Have no fear, even on days we have to implement this routine, everyone still gets ample human interaction & physical/mental stimulation throughout the day.

Information Nicole G. would like to know about your pet

It's very important for us to be informed and learn as much as possible about your dog(s) so we can provide the best possible care we can with what we know! Some starter questions we have are: What is your dogs personality like? Are they crate trained? What is something they need to work on or are currently working on? Have they been around cats before? If so, how did they do? Is your dog up to date on vaccinations? You will need to show proof of this prior to booking a stay.

A typical day

Once all of our guests arrive, we gauge how everyone is feeling; we're ready to play right away, while others might want a quick nap before doing anything. So some days we may go outside for a bit, while other times we'll hang inside for a little longer as we wait for everyone to wake up from their nap. We spend anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours outside at a time(sometimes longer depending on the weather). Our time outside could change depending on how well everyone is getting along, behaving & if we have females in heat. While outside in our fully fenced backyard, we have water available at all times, cots to lounge on, lots of shade from our huge trees, and plenty of toys for everyone! Occasionally we need to crate and rotate for a number of reasons; please refer to the Safety, Trust & Environment for more info on that.

**ATTENTION** Please read our FULL profile for important info. Hi ! Nicole & Dave here (: WE WANT TO PLAY WITH YOUR DOGS!! A little bit about us— I(Nicole) work from home full-time, offering doggy daycare/boarding and we also breed Siberian Huskies. We have a very large pack of our own; mainly siberian huskies, but we also have three mixed breeds and two cats. Most are very friendly/playful, but now that some are seniors, those dogs tend to want a little bit more space but still do very well coexisting with other dogs. We love to take our dogs on hikes/walks through the metroparks whenever we get the chance, and with West Creek Reservation being so close, we would be willing to add your pup to our adventure pack too as long as they have permission from you. I have trained our pack and several friends/family puppies/dogs, so I’m more than happy to work on basic commands with your puppy/dog during their stay. I just ask that you provide a list of commands you’re working on and have worked on so we can continue staying consistent. Our large backyard is fully fenced in(half privacy/half chain link- 5’-6’ tall) and has lots of tall trees to provide shade in the warmer/hot months. One of us is always outside with the dogs to prevent any escapes, fights & the potential ingestion of any foreign objects like sticks or small stones. We have experience working with all types of dogs, but Siberian Huskies are our specialty. One of us is almost always home with the pups—I never leave the house during daycare unless it’s an emergency, if Dave will be home with the pups or if I’m taking our daycare guests on a walk. We do run the occasional errand in the evenings after our daycare guests go home & on the weekends when we don’t have any daycare guests at all. Boarding dogs may be crated during the day for around 4-6 hours but will still receive appropriate exercise on those days. Our house has easy access to the highway & is about 15 minutes from Cleveland Hopkins Airport. — If you would like to book a boarding stay with us, you must book a DAYCARE stay first. If your pup passes their “trial day” during their first daycare stay, they will be welcomed back for boarding & more daycare. M&G’s are NOT covered by the Rover Guarantee therefore we would feel better about having guests over during bookings only. All bookings are covered by the Rover Guarantee. — Due to having multiple litters of puppies a year, WE DO NOT ALLOW PET PARENTS INTO OUR HOME. Please wait near your car or at the steps of our porch* *All dogs coming into our care MUST be good with cats or be muzzle trained with an escape-proof, bite-proof muzzle. There are NO exceptions. Trial Daycare Stays— For each new client, we require a trial daycare stay to be booked. This ensures everyone is covered by the rover guarantee! Here’s a little bit about how we handle those days— Drop off can be anytime between 6a-12p; once you arrive with your pup(s) I will meet you outside & take them from there. My dogs(& any other guests if any) will be locked up in a different area of the house or crate to allow your pup time and space to get acclimated to our home, once acclimated inside, we will do the same in the backyard. Then, one at a time I will allow my pack to meet yours. This can be a lengthy process so occasionally we do not make our way through the whole pack, however if your pup gets along with a group of them, they will be approved for a future boarding/daycare stay. Once one on one meets are over with, I will slowly add in more of my pack(those that get along well) until everyone is together or until I know we’re at our max limit for furends for your pup as everyone gets overwhelmed with different amounts of furends. I will send photos & updates to let you know how everything is going along the way to help ease your mind. If anything is to arise where I believe it won’t work out, I will need you to be available for pick up on the day of the trial. Misc. : We have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, all life stages, energy types, and even dogs with special needs such as Epilepsy. One of our own is epileptic. We look forward to chatting with you as well as meeting your pup! Please send us a message if you feel we could be a good fit.

Louise is always so ready to snuggle on our couch after a stay at Nicole and Dave’s, but every time I pick her up she stares quietly at their dog-haven until we’re well away. It’s sweet.

We don’t have any reason to ever look elsewhere as long as Nicole’s Family keeps letting Louise come over🧡

My dog Charlie loves her time at Nicole’s home. Getting to play in a large, safe outdoor space with other dogs is so good for her and she truly seems so happy! The pictures and updates are great and I highly recommend Nicole for your boarding and daycare needs.
