Hey, I’m Nicole!👋🏻 I’m an experienced & reliable house and dog sitter with 19 five-star Rover reviews and lots of wonderful repeat clients. For the past four years I’ve been caring for dogs in their own homes, giving them the consistency and comfort of staying in a familiar environment while their owners are away. Every dog is different, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know their personalities, routines and little quirks. I’ve cared for around 30 different dogs, from energetic pups to older dogs needing a slower pace, as well as dogs with epilepsy, separation anxiety, blindness and fussy eating habits. Every dog has taught me something new, and I’m always happy to adapt my care to suit their individual needs. I grew up with family dogs and have always been dog obsessed (my partner is just as excited to meet them as I am!). We absolutely love spending time with every dog we care for, and treat them with the same love, patience and attention we’d want for our own. While you’re away, I’ll keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your dog is happy, settled and well looked after. I know leaving your dog with someone new can feel daunting, so I’m always happy to arrange a free meet and greet beforehand to make sure we’re all a good fit. A few things to note: * I only offer house sitting in your home, as I can’t have dogs in my rented flat. I actually find most dogs are happiest staying somewhere familiar. * I don’t smoke or drink. * Unfortunately, I don’t take bookings for dogs who are reactive towards other dogs. Safety, trust & environment
I find it much easier on the dogs, for them to be kept in their own home, which provides them with a familiar and comfortable environment whilst away from their owners. It also ensures that they have absolutely everything they need during the time together. If I do have them in my home, I make them feel welcomed by allowing them on furniture (if allowed in their own home) and free to roam in all rooms so they can get familiar. We have a small fenced shared garden, but also a lovely fenced park a 2 minute walk from our home. Dogs are always kept on leads unless in safe places that are fenced/away from roads & traffic. NOTE: I live up 3 flights of stairs which isn’t suited to older dogs.

Nicole was absolutely fantastic. Finnegan and Ava had never been looked after by anyone outside our family before, so leaving them for a full week was a big deal for us. Ava is also very reactive, and both dogs are on medication, so there were quite a few instructions to follow. Nicole handled everything perfectly. She sent us regular photos and updates, kept us completely in the loop, and messaged us straight away if anything at all seemed out of the ordinary. We never had to wonder how they were doing, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Most importantly, it was obvious that both dogs were comfortable with her and really well cared for. We came home to two happy dogs and an absolutely spotless house. We genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better first experience leaving them with someone else. We will 100% be booking Nicole again and would recommend her without hesitation.
Nicole and Will house sat for us and looked after Murphy for 5 days. They were great and Murphy was clearly very happy spending time with them.
Nicole did a great job making sure our cat had everything he needs, which is quite a lot as he had regular medication administered and eyedrops throughout the day. She left our house tidy and clean too! We really appreciated her updating us through the week with pics and info, giving us peace of mind. She was also honest on the first morning about him refusing a couple of things (which he does with us too) - that honesty gave us extra confidence that she would let us know if things were tricky as well as when they went smoothly. He seemed to adjust to her very swiftly and was snoozing away on her within just a few hours of her stay. We recommend Nicole to people looking for a reliable sitter who really loves animals.
Nicole kindly agreed to mind our Airedale Pip for a day as we were passing through Edinburgh so that we could catch some shows at the Fringe. Pip was quite unsettled after spending the week with us in the Campervan but Nicole persevered with her until we could get back to collect her. Thanks for your help and for trying your best to settle her in - we appreciate your efforts!
Nicole was so brilliant with Buffy who can be nervous with new people. lots of updates and I felt very reassured that she was in good hands. Nicole even handled buffy needing some medication after a last minute vet appointment before we left. Would love for her to watch Buffy again.
Nicole was great! She was very professional, listened carefully to the instructions on Yogi's care, and took really good care of him. She clearly loves spending time with Yogi, and she communicated throughout and sent us lots of photos, videos and updates as well. Our pup Yogi was happy and tired when we came home! She even went the extra mile and took him on a long walk to the beach, which he loves! I would definitely recommend booking her and will surely be using her services again for our Yogi 😊

Schedule
I am self-employed and also have a flexible part-time job, both of which I work from home/anywhere. I usually take longer breaks myself just to get out into fresh air, so a dog slots perfectly into my working routine. Myself & my partner are very outdoorsy, and usually do at least one big outing with a dog we sit; hiking, beach, longer walls etc.

- Please let me know if your dog has any special needs/behaviours/medication ahead of time, incl how they get on with other dogs, if they need to always be on the lead, if they have set times etc. Please also let me know whether or not your dog shed lots, as I can’t have this is my home sadly! If your dog is reactive to other dogs (on or off the lead) then I sadly won’t be a good fit.
