The love I have for dogs is endless

Hi! I’m Nicole, and a recent graduate of John Jay’s Forensic Psychology Master’s program. I’ve had a love for dogs since I was in kindergarten. In fact, in 4th grade I took the opportunity to use a class assignment of a persuasive essay to convince my family we needed a dog (spoiler alert - it took 8 more years for it to be effective). Growing up, I was the first to jump at an opportunity to sit or walk a family member or friend’s dog. I adopted my own dog at 5 months old, and helped a family member raise their puppy starting at 8 weeks, including administering medication, potty training, crate training, socializing, and teaching tricks. For the past 6 years I’ve been active on Rover, and doing overnights, drop ins, and dog walks for dogs of all ages and sizes (8 weeks old to 13 years old)! Regardless of the snow, rain, or heat, I’d love to take your pup on a walk to give them some exercise and TLC! I strongly believe dogs deserve to receive the same amount of love and affection they show us, whether it be through playing, walks, treats, or cuddles. I can’t wait to help you out! If you’d like more recent reviews/references, please let me know! I have also been dog sitting and dog walking for families outside of Rover, too

Safety, trust & environment

While dog sitting at a client’s house, I would make sure all safety precautions that are necessary are taken — whether it be a specific collar or leash, or monitoring the dog in a park or fenced in area.

Nicole did an amazing job with Archie! She played with him nonstop for hours and sent us tons of picture and text updates to let us know he was doing great. She was super communicative and very respectful of our home, and Archie loved her.

This was our first house sitting experience, and I’m so glad we chose Nicole! She was prompt, communicative, and clearly a dog lover. Nicole sent us adorable pictures and kept my dog busy and well exercised. It was evident my dog had an amazing time as when she saw Nicole after the stay she expressed a true bonded response with doggy kisses and jumpy hugs. Big relief to have found Nicole on our first weekend away!

Wonderful sitter for a fussy cat and a sick dog on such short notice. Communication was frequent and made us feel really comfortable about our choice. Highly recommended!

Nicole was absolutely amazing watching my 5 month old puppy! She was on time, communicative and sent plenty of pictures and videos. This was the first time leaving my puppy, so I was a little nervous, but having Nicole put me at ease and I came home to a very happy pup!

Nicole was so sweet and patient with Pepper, that we could tell she was at ease when we came back despite her generally shy with strangers. Nicole also kept us posted through the night and sent the cutest pictures. We’ll definitely be calling her again!

Schedule

Currently, I’m WFH and schedule my own hours, so am around mornings and afternoons if you need someone during the day! Evenings and nights I am around as long as I have a day or two heads up. I’d love to help out if you’ve got errands, work, or appointments and want your furry friend to have some company and exercise! It brightens my day.

I’d like to know if they have any behavioral issues, are on any medication, have any special diets, and their likes and dislikes! Additionally, if they have allergies that I need to be aware of — especially if it’s something I may carry from home to home — I’d like to know.
