Availability

I am an artist who works from a home studio and I do not have any set hours. Because of this flexibility, I am available at all hours of the day and night in my own home for your pet. While I would prefer to sleep in my own house to be available for my family, I'm happy to make early morning or late evening visits to your home for your pet or have them stay with me where I can tend to them all night if necessary.

Safety, trust & environment

My goal is to work out the best set up to make your pet comfortable. I leash pets at all times when outside with them in my yard and have a designated area for them for potty breaks. I also have crate options if you prefer crate training. For pets other than dogs, we keep them separated in a designated area depending on what type of pet it is and what their habitat requires (cage, crate, tank, etc). Visits to your home is entirely up to you! Whatever instructions and requests you have for that scenario is something we could plan out beforehand, and I can even send you daily updates.

Information Nicole D. would like to know about your pet

Please be upfront about any aggression, ailments, and or issues with your dog before booking with me. We welcome your dog into our family of two adults, two teen daughters and two friendly dogs so it is a strong family environment. This means we cuddle with your dogs and treat them as if they're our own! If your dog is uncomfortable with this type of setting or has reactivity to men, children or other dogs, please understand that this might cause an issue during boarding services with us and we will have to include it on your dog's notes so that future boarders may see this. We just want everyone to be comfortable and certainly would not want your pet to have anything less than a happy-wagging-tail time with us!

A typical day

With two dogs of our own, we have plenty of playtime built into the day. I also encourage downtime, so all pets get a break and have time to relax. We have woods and trails around our house where I am happy to leash-walk your dog each day if they need further exercise.

Pet care experience

I have 30 years of experience in caring for my own dogs and boarding for friends and family. With flexible scheduling, I am able to be there for your pet(s) at all hours of the day and night so there is constant care while you are away. My family and I have worked with many kinds of pets including dogs, small rodents, rabbits, lizards, parakeets, and other birds such as outdoor ducks and chickens. My family even raised our own ducks! I am especially open to puppy care as I am patient and happy to work with house training and such. My patience for senior care is also extensive so I'm glad to work with your pets in their golden years as well.

This is our third time booking with Nicole. She and her family always take great care of our black lab, Lily. I highly recommend her for pet sitting.

This was Lily's second time staying with Nicole. Nicole and her family took great care of our dog, Lily while we were away. She was great with communication and sent pictures of Lily almost every day. We highly recommend her!

Nicole was great! She accommodated a last minute request and provided me with updates on my dog throughout his stay. My dog seemed to enjoy his time with her. I would definitely reach back out and have her dog sit again.
