Safety, trust & environment

Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a spacious home with a large, fully fenced garden that’s perfect for safe outdoor time. We also have security cameras in common areas of the house, as well as a small camera I can bring on walks for extra peace of mind. You can feel confident knowing your pet is always supervised and well cared for. I’m more than happy to send plenty of photo and video updates. Leaving your pet can be tough, and I want you to feel completely comfortable and connected while they’re with us. Pets are welcome on furniture, beds, and cozy spots throughout the house. We also provide pet sofas, beds, and a variety of toys so your furry friend can relax or play however they prefer. Right next to our home is a large open dog park, perfect for fun outings, runs, playtime with toys, or calm scenic walks. We also have a very spacious car available if you need your furry friend picked up and/or dropped off, making travel and scheduling even easier for you. We share our home with a friendly senior Yorkie who loves gentle company and is very used to being around cats, so your pet will always have a companion if they enjoy socializing.

Information Nicole C. would like to know about your pet

Before caring for any pet, I love learning as much as possible about their routine and personality so I can make them feel comfortable and safe. It’s especially helpful to know: • Their daily schedule (feeding times, potty breaks, walks) • Energy level and exercise needs • Any medical conditions, medications, or allergies • Behavioral quirks (anxiety, leash reactivity, fear of storms, etc.) • How they interact with other pets or people • Favorite toys, treats, and comfort items • Any house rules they’re used to (crate training, furniture rules, sleeping arrangements) Every pet is unique, and the more I understand about their habits and preferences, the smoother and happier our time together will be. My goal is to keep their routine as consistent as possible so they feel secure while you’re away. I’m always happy to schedule a meet-and-greet beforehand to make sure it’s a great fit for everyone.

A typical day

We’ll start the morning with a nice walk around the neighborhood (or a park adventure if that’s their style), giving them plenty of time to sniff, explore, and get their energy out. For high-energy pups, we can play fetch, tug-of-war, or work on fun tricks and positive reinforcement training. For more relaxed pets, I’m happy to go at their pace with slow strolls and lots of cuddle breaks. Throughout the day, I make sure they get mental stimulation too, treat games, and enrichment activities to keep their minds sharp. If they enjoy social time, we’ll have supervised play sessions. If they’re more of a couch companion, I’m always ready for belly rubs and cozy downtime.

Pet care experience

I’ve been surrounded by pets both dogs and cats since childhood, and truly couldn’t imagine life without them. Over the years, caring for animals has become second nature to me. I currently have a rescued senior dog, and supporting him through his older years has given me extensive experience with senior pet care. I’m very comfortable monitoring health needs, administering gentle care, and providing the patience and attention senior pets deserve. I’ve also adopted and cared for a beloved cat who lived a long, happy life with us. Through her, I gained a deep understanding of feline behavior, routines, and the extra love cats need to feel safe and comfortable. In addition to my own pets, I’ve temporarily cared for puppies and kittens for extended periods. From playful energy to early training and socialization, I enjoy supporting young pets just as much as seasoned seniors. Your furry family members will be treated with the same love, compassion, and attentiveness I give to my own.

This was the first time we used this dog sitter. Our initial meeting went very well, and she came across as caring, experienced, and genuinely fond of dogs, which gave us the confidence to trust her with our puppy. During the stay, everything appeared to be going well based on the updates we received. However, when we arrived to collect our puppy, she very casually mentioned that he had been licking his paw. This immediately raised some concern, but as it was mentioned so briefly, we did not think the issue was serious. When we got home, we discovered that our puppy was in pain, limping, and had a red, split, and cut paw. We were extremely concerned and contacted the sitter to understand what had happened and why we had not been informed immediately when the injury occurred. Unfortunately, the response we received was disappointing. There appeared to be little concern for the injury, and no first aid had been administered. We were also not contacted at the time of the incident, nor was any effort made to seek veterinary advice or alert us so that we could assist our puppy promptly. As a result, our puppy required medication and treatment, which may have been avoided or reduced had the injury been properly addressed when it happened. In addition, some of our belongings were not returned after the stay. Despite requesting their return, nothing further came of it. We have used Rover many times in the past and have never experienced anything like this. This was a very upsetting experience for both our puppy and our family, and we are extremely disappointed with the level of care, communication, and responsibility shown in this situation.

Absolutely amazing experience! My dogs had such a lovely time and were so well looked after. They were even ready to go back in with her when she came to drop them off, which says everything! Her home is clean, she is so patient, kind, and genuinely caring. They even came home with a certificate of stay, which was such a lovely touch and something we’ve never had before. I’m so pleased we found her and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!
