Availability

I currently live in an apartment, and would need to come to your home for pet care duties. I'm happy to accommodate basic housekeeping and other chores such as gathering mail or running other errands in the booking (additional rate may apply.) I work during the day, and am therefore not able to provide constant care (24/7 supervision) during the work week. I am open to discussing constant care in your home for a Saturday and/or Sunday booking; however, please know that due to the increased amount of planning and preparation this entails, I will likely not be able to accept a short-notice constant care request, and the service rate will be higher depending on the level of care/supervision needed. Thank you for understanding. 🙂 If you live outside the La Grande/Island City area, there will be an additional flat fee added to the total cost of the stay to cover fuel expenses.

Information Nicole C. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if there are any special needs, behavioral quirks, or any other information that would be helpful when caring for your pet! For example: • If your pet tends to have separation anxiety, is there a particular treat/toy/comfort item or ritual that calms them down (e.g., turning a radio or TV on, telling them “bye” as you exit, or leaving quickly and quietly?) • What’s their mealtime routine like? Do you keep a bowl or gravity feeder full, or do you feed them specific amounts at certain times (e.g., breakfast and dinner)? Does your pet have any allergies, food intolerances or aversions? • Is your pet allowed free rein of the house, or should they stay off furniture/out of specific areas of your home? • Are there particular ways your pet likes/does not like to be handled? For example, touching their head/ears, belly, back, feet/legs, etc. This is important for my safety as well as your pet’s comfort. 🙂 • anything else you think I should know! If I’ve cared for your pet previously, has anything changed since then?

A typical day

My aim is to make your pet’s time apart from you as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. To that end, a typical day would depend on what your pet is accustomed to. I’m just as happy to explore trails and nearby parks with your best buddy as I am to chill on the couch with your senior pup or kitty :)

Lifelong pet lover!

Pet care experience

We've included pre-loved dogs in our family since I was in elementary school. Since then, I've bonded with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and it's been fun getting to know everyone's unique personalities. I have a particular passion for senior pets, and am comfortable addressing such needs as injury/arthritis care, medications, and incontinence. I am certified in Cat and Dog First Aid/CPR through the American Red Cross.

Nicole was wonderful with Murphy! She took such good care of him and kept me updated with how he was doing while I was away. Would be very happy to have her watch him again in the future.
