About Nicole C.
Safety, trust & environment
I provide care based on each pet’s individual needs and routine. In my own home, I care for a service dog, a scent dog in training, and five rescued cats, including cats with medical complexities. This has given me experience maintaining medication schedules, monitoring health and behavior changes, and providing specialized care when needed. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I strive to keep their routine as consistent as possible. This includes feeding, walks, playtime, litter box or yard maintenance, medication administration if required, and plenty of companionship and attention. I also reinforce any training routines owners would like maintained and always prioritize safety, comfort, and low-stress care. My experience with dog training, service dogs, and medically complex cats allows me to recognize changes in behavior and respond thoughtfully to each animal’s unique needs. I treat every pet as if they were my own and provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident their pets are happy, safe, and well cared for while they’re away. 🐾🐱🐶
Information Nicole C. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for a pet, I like to learn as much as possible about their individual needs and personality. Important information includes their daily routine, feeding schedule, medications, allergies, training cues, exercise requirements, favorite activities, fears or triggers, and how they interact with people, other animals, and new situations. I also appreciate knowing about any medical conditions, behavioral concerns, mobility limitations, or special accommodations they may need. For cats, it’s helpful to know their litter box routine, hiding spots, favorite toys, and how comfortable they are with visitors. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can provide a safe, comfortable, and stress-free experience that keeps your pet’s routine consistent and allows me to care for them as closely as possible to how you would. 🐾🐶🐱
A typical day
I love keeping pets physically active and mentally engaged. Depending on the pet’s personality and interests, I incorporate activities such as training sessions, puzzle games, scent work, enrichment activities, interactive play, and confidence-building exercises. These activities help prevent boredom, provide mental stimulation, and make time away from their owners more enjoyable. For dogs, this may include walks, obedience practice, trick training, scent games, food puzzles, fetch, or other enrichment activities. For cats, I enjoy interactive play, clicker training, puzzle feeders, and enrichment games that encourage natural behaviors such as hunting, climbing, and exploring. My goal is to make every visit fun, engaging, and tailored to the individual pet’s age, energy level, and abilities while ensuring they feel safe, happy, and loved. 🐾🐶
