Safe walks and senior care
Hi, I'm Nic! I've been taking care of dogs ever since we adopted our first family dog Auggie over 20 years ago. He and other dogs I've watched had aggression issues so I know how to stay out of trouble. I'm strong enough to handle multiple medium-to-large dogs at a time and fit enough to take them on long walks or runs. I helped out my mom a lot last year with our second family dog Yogi who struggled with incontinence, mobility, and chronic pain. I still miss him but realized after watching my friend's elderly dogs that I'm ready to connect with some more great animals!

Super easy to work with, got regular updates, and dog was happy and healthy when I picked her up

Nick did a great job with Clifton! We adopted our pup earlier than expected, and we needed a sitter to watch him for a few days just two weeks after we adopted him. Nick continued with the training and boundaries we had started. He also shared frequent photos and updates. We are so grateful and will definitely use him again.

Nicolas did such an amazing job with my pup over a weekend! I have a high energy breed and he exceeded typical expectations. My dog was well walked, definitely cared for, and I got lots of pics & updates which gave me peace of mind throughout my trip. I would 10/10 book with him again! He is very knowledgeable in different dog personality types and so I felt very confident trusting him with my pet who can have slight behavior issues.

Nic is my go-to dog sitter. Bambi and Pepper are very human-centric dogs and they like to be right next to a person at all times. Nic works from home, so it’s great knowing the girls are with someone the majority of the day. He treats with a great level of care and attentiveness that made all the difference. Bambi is tiny and old, and Pepper has her own personality too (she has an anxious attachment style; she certainly didn’t get that from me…lol), but Nic handled both of them with so much patience, warmth, and intuition. It’s clear he really understands dogs and knows how to make them feel safe, comfortable, and happy. I always get a little nervous leaving my pups, but with Nic, I had complete peace of mind. He kept me updated, was incredibly reliable, and went above and beyond to make sure the girls had everything they needed and were comfy. If you’re looking for someone who is responsible, communicative, and genuinely cares, Nic is the one. Bambi, Pepper, and I absolutely adore him!
Nicolas is such a kind and responsible person and dog lover. He did a great job caring for a walking my sweet Kimbo. She was not a big walker and tended to protest by sitting on the sidewalk, so needed someone patient and understanding to care for her- and Nicolas is just that. Kimbo was in great hands with him.
Nicolas has watched our two dogs several times while we were away traveling. He is very caring and responsible, and our dogs love him. There were never any worries or concerns while he watched our beloved pets. He is highly recommended!

Schedule
I work full-time but I'm remote and not overly busy so I have flexibility in terms of schedule. I'm generally available to do walks/check-ins around noon or in the evening and can also have animals stay with me in my apartment during the day or overnight.
Where your pet will stay
Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I only take pets from one family at a time in order to ensure that I can give each pet as much attention as possible. I have an apartment on the second floor of a small complex and there is no elevator so I likely cannot accommodate larger dogs with mobility issues. My complex and apartment are pretty quiet and there is a park with two dog runs only two blocks away. On weekdays I only leave the apartment for about two hours so I can keep a close eye on any dogs that need extra supervision. I'm very respectful of other people's homes and know that many animals will need time to warm up to me. I try to give animals as much space as they need but also keep an eye out for when they're in need of some stimulation.
A typical day
Dogs that stay with me can expect to go on walks in the morning, midday, evening and before bedtime. We'll spend a minimum of an hour outside over the course of the day, with the average probably closer to 1.5 hours or even more on weekends. If your dog is athletic and well-behaved we can even do some running. We'll spend some time at the park and the dog run (only if it's empty or with prior approval from you the owner). At home I'll make sure your pet has the space and peace to relax. We'll get in plenty of belly rubs and play time over the course of the day and especially in the evening. Your pet will also be able to sleep in my room or even the bed as long as they aren't too disruptive of my sleep.
