Let me know if your dog has any specific needs, likes or dislikes. Some dogs don't like to be petted on their head. Other dogs need me to spend time with them all the time, even if this means they are resting in the living room while I am taking care of things around the house. Marcel, for example, did not want me to be out of sight. He'd follow me everywhere and when he'd run ahead, he'd look back frequently to make sure that I was following him. Mina had to get special combinations of food (dry food and Caesar for example. She had kidney problems and we had to make sure that she'd get out and pee every couple of hours.
A typical day
I would first try to find out from the "mom" or "dad" what they like to do. Here are some examples of things I have done in the recent past. Fetch ... If they like to play fetch, I enjoy playing with them and throwing their toys (e.g. a ball) a short distance so that they can run and get it and bring it back. Grom was particularly fond of this. Hide and seek ... Mina enjoyed playing hide and seek in the house. She would look for me while I was in another room. Since she was hard of hearing, she would not hear me when I approached from behind. Once she'd see me, she'd run around and wait for me to hide again. Daily walks ... Mina also loved going on our daily walks. Sometimes even twice a day. She'd get all excited when I opened the drawer to take out her collar and leash, and once these were in place, she'd wait in front of the front door so that we could get out and walk around our neighborhood.

I grew up with dogs such as Dachshunds, Collies, German Shepherds and Afghan Hounds living with us as part of the family household. Most recently, for the last 4 years, I have taken care of our Mina (a 15-lb terrier mut) until she passed away.

I appreciate the care provided to my fur baby by Nick and Cora. I was nervous about leaving her for a week with someone she didn’t know but they took special care of my girl. They sent pictures and updates of her regularly.
Nick and Cora! Such lovely people with good hearts! My puppy Rue enjoyed her stay in their lovely home. They sent pictures of Rue eating and walking and gave updates during her stay. Rue gets anxious when she is left alone and their home was the perfect place for her. They both took really good care of my puppy and it reflected when I picked Rue up on the last day! Will definitely re book with them in the future.
Nick was so patient, understanding, and went above and beyond watching Jobahn 10/10 recommend
