Nicola is definitely the best minder I've ever hired. It's very clear how much she loves animals and took excellent care of my dog Jack. Nicola kept me up to date every day with videos of my dog Jack, I think he truly enjoyed his time with Nicola .She is reliable and trustworthy i shall definitely be booking her again to care for my dog .

Nichola is a great sitter. Really good communication prior to the stay. We were sent regular video and photograph updates of walks and playtime Max was having a great time. Nicola had loads of new toys for max to play with and a nice secure back garden. Will definitely contact again when I need a sitter in the area due to the live and care she showed Max. Thanks again Craig

Nici and pongo settled after leaving him for the first time. She provided a warm home, treats, attention and walks. And for peace of mind provided pics and videos which were appreciated being his first doggie daycare. Thanks very much Nici!

What a fabulous find Nicola was!! Biscuit absolutely loved spending the day with her whilst we took a day trip into Blackpool during our holiday in the area. It's obvious she absolutely adores animals, I didn't even feel worried about leaving Biscuit for the very first time, and we got so many lovely pictures and videos of Biscuit throughout the day. A lovely person who I'd highly recommend, and will 100% be using everytime I'm in the area. Thank you so much 😊

The most wonderful sitter! First time my dogs ever been left with somebody else that’s not me or my parents and Nicola was amazing! The videos and updates she kept sending me of bello playing and having the best time put me so at ease! He was very happy and I can’t wait to drop him by again once we are back in the area! 🩷

As always, Nicola is an excellent host for our furry boy!! He loves staying with her. She makes him feel so very welcome and looks after him as if he is her own.

Schedule
I work from home apart from one day once a month when I go to London, other than that, I am with your pet, giving lots of cuddles 2 walks per day and fed all the love, plus the right foods to keep them happy, don’t mind on furniture or bed!
Where your pet will stay
Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
As I say, lots of attention, love and good food, plus 2 walks per day, if required, they can use the sofa and my bed when they come & stay x As the temperature starts to rise in the summer months, we all need to be mindful of the following issues and how to check a dog's vital signs: Heart rate: A normal heart rate for dogs is 60-140 beats per minute. Put your hand to the dog’s chest. Count how many pulses you feel in 15 seconds. Multiply by 4. Respiration rate: Healthy dogs take between 12-24 breaths per minute. Count the number of times the chest expands in 10 seconds. Multiply by 6. How to keep pets safe in summer heat: As temperatures rise, it’s important to know how to keep pets cool, especially for certain breeds. Climate-sensitive breeds and conditions: Although you should be mindful of rising heat with all dogs, certain breeds and conditions merit extra care and attention to keep them safe. This includes giant breeds, elderly or obese pets, diabetic animals, and all snub-nosed or brachycephalic dogs. These are dogs that have a harder time regulating their temperatures due to shorter nasal passages. Rising temps? Keep a close eye on these breeds: >All Bulldogs >Chow Chows >Golden Retrievers >Boston Terriers >Pugs >Boxers >Greyhounds >Cavalier King Charles Spaniels >Chinese Cresteds >Dogue de Bordeaux >English Springer Spaniels >French Mastiff >Pekingese Tips for keeping pets cool Have playtime, exercise and walks in the early morning or evening. Avoid high-intensity activities such as long walks or playing fetch. Walk on grass rather than hot, black pavement and consider booties to protect their paw pads. To cool a dog down fast, wet their paws and chest with cool water. Offer an ice pack or cool wet towel to lay on. Bring a water and collapsible dish on walks. Fill a paddling pool with shallow, cool water. Offer access to shade by stringing up a tarp or cloth, or use a shade screen. Add ice cubes to the water dish. If you notice rapid breathing, panting, fatigue, muscle tremors or staggering, contact a vet immediately
A typical day
I will complete this section later today with more details, however my daily routines can change according to the pet I have at the time, their needs come first with me and I fit my routine for my personal requirements around them as best I can.
