I do not have a set routine as I am retired. I was a hospital librarian for decades. I am organized and detailed and like specific directions so that your animal has the least amount of anxiety and distress while you are away. I prefer a meet and greet prior to booking.

I wake early. I feel I read dogs and cats well. If they are skittish, I'll get as near as I can, without them becoming stressed. If they're open and friendly, I am very much the same. Big hugger. I like to give lots of long rubs and scratches. If they want to sleep with me, they're welcome. For care of pets, the more I know about your pet, the better. My goal is that your pet will be as comfortable as they can be.

Any and all information about a dog and cat is important. Specifically, their regular day, their routine, in terms of when they go to the bathroom, how they communicate, when they eat, what they like, dislike, where they sleep, if they have medical issues. All of it. The more information, the better.
Un día normal
Your dog and I will take walks where you live. And/Or I will come to your cat, if s/he wants, for petting and play. For dogs, I look towards the owner to inform me of places their dog wants to go. Trails, parks, wherever the dog is most comfortable. And safe from other dogs, if that is an issue. If the dog likes to chase balls, in a fenced area, I can throw them, plenty. Frisbees, too. I am hoping the dog's family can let me know what a dog likes and dislikes, so the dog will be happy, while their family is away.

If your dog and or cat are timid or shy, then my empathy is for them. Or if they want love while you are away, I feel I am a match. If animals are receptive, I give a lot of love to them, have time, and am retired. Dogs and cats make me happy. My Dad was a vet, and I was raised with many dogs and cats. I volunteer at different animal rescues. I gravitate towards the very scared dogs and am patient with them. I don’t rush and follow their lead.

Nicola was warm and caring, very sensitive to JoJo's anxious nature. She is meticulous, detailed and organized. We felt very comfortable leaving JoJo in her care.
Nicola was great. She knows quite a bit about dogs which I think is very important. Atticus responded very well to her and I think the two of them got along very well. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Nicola’s services again!
Nicky took excellent care of our two pups. She was attentive, detail-oriented, and incredibly loving, making sure they were comfortable and happy while we were away. She’s an excellent communicator and a true animal lover. I feel completely reassured knowing my dogs are in her care.
Nicky was a wonderful sitter for our dog Rosie! Nicky is both conscientiousness and caring -- each to an exceptional degree. Its hard to imagine someone that would take better care of our dog. Also, a good communicator with texts + pictures, and highly respectful of our house. Would absolutely have Nicky watch our dog again. She is a stand out!
