I’m actively involved in dog and cat rescue, and I grew up learning animal care firsthand from my father, a veterinarian. Your pets will be treated like family in my care.

Safety, trust & environment
I wake early. I feel I read dogs and cats well. If they are skittish, I'll get as near as I can, without them becoming stressed. If they're open and friendly, I am very much the same. Big hugger. I like to give lots of long rubs and scratches. If they want to sleep with me, they're welcome. For care of pets, the more I know about your pet, the better. My goal is that your pet will be as comfortable as they can be.

Nicky sent timely updates. When we came home, the dogs were happy and healthy. She even set out the trash for us the day we were due back.
Nicola took great care of our little guy. It was wonderful to be able to travel with confidence that he was in excellent hands!
Nicki house sat our 2 dogs for 3 days/nights and provided them excellent love and care. She also sent us daily pictures and updates.
Nicola was warm and caring, very sensitive to JoJo's anxious nature. She is meticulous, detailed and organized. We felt very comfortable leaving JoJo in her care.
Nicola was great. She knows quite a bit about dogs which I think is very important. Atticus responded very well to her and I think the two of them got along very well. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Nicola’s services again!
Nicky took excellent care of our two pups. She was attentive, detail-oriented, and incredibly loving, making sure they were comfortable and happy while we were away. She’s an excellent communicator and a true animal lover. I feel completely reassured knowing my dogs are in her care.

Schedule
I do not have a set routine as I am retired. I was a hospital librarian for decades. I am organized and detailed and like specific directions so that your animal has the least amount of anxiety and distress while you are away. I prefer a meet and greet prior to booking.
