Dogs have always been a meaningful part of my life. I had the honor of growing up alongside my cockapoo, who was my best friend from the time I was 10 until she was 15. Being involved in her care from puppyhood through her senior years gave me a deep appreciation for the different needs dogs have at every stage of life. My family now has a rambunctious four-year-old cockapoo pup who lives in Vancouver, so when I am not able to be around her, I really value getting my dose of puppy love and dog companionship through caring for others’ pets. I work from home as a psychotherapist, which allows me the flexibility to ensure someone is almost always home throughout the day. I am new to Kelowna and would love to connect with local dog friends! While I currently live in an apartment, we are located right across from the beach, so your dog will have plenty of opportunities for walks, play, and fresh air.

Nicola was able to watch my dog last minute for 2 days of daycare. My dog is usually really nervous meeting new people, he didn’t want to go inside on the first day but on the second day he was so excited and ran inside her apartment! Thanks Nicola.
Nicola and her partner were wonderful taking our pup last minute. Lots of walks. She was very happy

Schedule
When I’m not working as a therapist, I love being outdoors and staying active, so spending time with pets is the perfect balance for me. I’m patient, responsible, and committed to giving your pet lots of attention and care.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Always being transparent with the client around their do’s and don’ts regarding if there are closed off areas. Making sure to have a safe environment so the dog won’t get into anything dangerous. Both doors and fences closed and locked.
A typical day
Fun activities with the owners permission will be long walks (scenic views are a bonus!), playing at the dog park, going to the beach and if it’s a hot day, taking a dip in the ocean! And a treat is always included.
