🚨Limited Availability🚨 🐄🐾Let me introduce myself🐾🐄 I am a final year student at the University of Nottingham, studying Agricultural and Livestock Science. I have been surrounded by dogs my entire life, mainly owning Rottweilers, but more recently owning a Jack Russel x. My passion for dogs has been unwavering, taking great interest in pedigree dog exhibition, dog sports and obedience trialing. I had helped out at my Aunt and Uncles boarding kennels and obedience training club during secondary school holidays, providing me with lots of experience handling and caring for dogs of different breeds and ages, as well as knowledge of different breeds and the wider canine industry. 📷Please be sure to check out my captioned photo library!📷 ✅Things to expect from me✅ Since starting my Rover account, I have had the great pleasure of caring for dogs of all ages (from puppy to elderly), and all temperaments (from excitable and playful, to very nervous and anxious). I am confident in handling most dogs, providing no bite/aggression history. I take pride in the way I leave the Owner’s home, and respect all property. Respect and courtesy are some of my core values. I wish to care for your pet as if they were my own, aligning my care with their current training, dietary requirements, habits and comfort levels. I will follow any owner instruction, helping to reinforce training started with the dog or simply provide your pet with company in cases where the dog needs support during owner absence. I also believe communication is key and extremely important. I will always update an owner about their dog with fully transparency, ensuring to update them on our time together and how the dog settled with me. I appreciate good communication, and I am keen to reflect this in my care! 📝🎓Related Qualifications🎓📝 Recently, I have taken University Modules in companion animals, including: • “Companion Animals Science”, looking into inherited conditions in pedigree dogs and small pet and dog nutrition; receiving a high grade in a dog behaviour assessment. • “Animal Physiology”, understanding the skeletal structure and basic organ systems of companion animals. •”Principles of Animal Health and Disease”, taught by veterinary lecturers, learning common symptoms of disease, treatments, disease diagnosis and correct health check methods. I obtained a Distinction Star graded Diploma in “Animal Management” in 2020, taking modules in large animal and dog care, housing and legislation. To further my knowledge, I completed an online qualification in pet nutrition and care in 2021. I have completed a "Mastering Medications" course by XL Vets, teaching me how to properly inject animals via different routes, about sterility and what medications can be given alongside others. While this was a course on large animals, I would be happy to administer medication to pets, providing the owner has shown me how to correctly administer the medication for their pet. 🐩🧬Previous dog care🧬🐩 Some breeds I have cared for so far, in both homes and outdoor housing (kennels): Working Group Rottweiler Weimaraner Rhodesian Ridgeback Terrier Group Border Terrier Staffordshire Bull Terrier Toy Group Maltese Pug Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Gundog Group Golden Retriever Labrador (pet and working) Bourbonnais Pointer Cocker Spaniel (pet and working) Springer Spaniel Welsh Springer Spaniel Hound Group Greyhound Dachshund Pastoral Group Border Collie (pet and working) Utility Group Poodle crossbreeds (including Golden Retriever and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel crosses) 🦴💊 Example of care experience💊🦴 I have cared for dogs on Rover since Sept 2025; enjoying caring for a range of breeds and temperaments! Previously, during my University Placement Year I would dog sit for my land lady multiple times a month. She owned two labradors, one young working peg dog with a protein allergy, the other an arthritic, retired peg dog. I exercised both dogs depending on their individual needs for the day, and ensured they received their medications and supplements in their specifically designed meals. I have also more casually dog sat for family members and neighbours, including socially anxious, elderly and juvenile dogs. I assisted my auntie in training her puppy; and I have taught my dog many fun party tricks, like ringing a dinner bell and shutting cupboard doors. 🐈🐹🦎 Cats, Small Pets and Exotics 🦎🐹🐈 I have cared for a relative’s elderly cat for a few weeks, and a friend’s cat for a weekend. I would be very happy to care for a cat alongside dogs, despite my limited experience. I have also cared for small pets. Having owned a very spoilt hamster, I understand a small pet’s needs well. In the past I have shown rabbits at agricultural shows, and cared for show guinea pigs and pet rats. Alongside this, I was involved in the introduction of beared dragons and snakes to my school’s Animal Care department. I was responsible for feeding, monitoring and cleaning their vivariums during lessons and unstructured times. 💬Please do not hesitate to ask me any questions or answer and queries, I am happy to answer any and all questions!💬

🐾How I care for your pet🐾 I will care for the dog/pet in which ever way the owner requests. Day-to-day, I will wake up and take the dog out for a toilet, feed them and then do any other dog related jobs (poo picking, tidying crates/dog beds, any accidents overnight). I will usually update the owner on how the dog is after all jobs are completed in the morning, unless they have requested to only be contacted incase of emergencies. If the weather is quite sunny or severely raining, I will wait to take the dog out for a walk, otherwise I may take the dog on a walk at this point, unless the owner has requested they are walked at specific times or frequencies.

I booked Nicola to look after my big quirky greyhound Blossom for 1 night/2 days. Nicola was super responsive to all of my Rover messages and promptly arranged a meet and greet so she could meet us ahead of the booking and understand Blossoms needs. She arrived on time for both the meet and greet and the booking, did a great job taking care of Blossom, and left my house in perfect condition. She also provided regular updates. Will definitely use again in the future!

It was great to see Nicola again, and what was really pleasing was how pleased Bob was to see her too. It is very re-assuring to be leaving Bob in company that we know he is content and happy with. Thank you Nicola.

Nicola is absolutely brilliant - she kept us so informed with photos and messages and we knew our Eddie and home was in safe hands. Super professional but personable too. Will absolutely be using again (if she’s free!)

Any medical requirements or temperament issues. I am willing to give any dog care as long as they are not outwardly aggressive. I am very patient, allowing me to deal with nervous/anxious dogs, as long as they do not have a history of biting. Also, due to owning my own dog and working with multiple dogs per week, I would like dogs to be up to date with parasite treatments (flea, intestinal worms etc); and parasite free.
