We couldn’t have asked for a better person to look after our beloved Martha. Nicky looked after Martha in our home for four nights and from the very beginning we felt completely confident leaving them both in her care. She took the time to do a proper meet and greet beforehand and was very happy to accommodate Martha’s individual needs, including her severe food allergies and the fact that, as an older dog, she has some limitations with walking and jumping. It was clear that Nicky genuinely cared about understanding Martha and making sure she was comfortable and safe. Throughout the house sit, Nicky kept us regularly updated, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. When we returned, the house was absolutely spotless and clearly very well cared for. However, it was on the final day that Nicky went above and beyond anything we could have expected. We messaged Nicky after boarding our flight to let her know that everything was on schedule and, all being well, we expected to be home at around 4pm. Unfortunately, that afternoon a major fire broke out in Benahavís Village. The situation became very serious, with the road into the village closed, residents being advised to remain indoors with windows and doors closed, helicopters overhead, emergency sirens and house alarms sounding, and understandably very frightened and worried residents. To make matters even more difficult, communications within the village completely went down. Phone calls, messages and internet services were unavailable, meaning we had absolutely no way of contacting Nicky to explain what was happening — and she had no way of contacting us. Nicky waited for around three hours beyond our expected return time, hoping we would be able to get home. Eventually, with the situation still unresolved, she made the decision to leave to find her daughter, who was also caught up in the incident. Most importantly, she didn’t leave Martha alone. She took Martha with her to ensure that she was safe and cared for. Nicky also left us an extensive note explaining exactly where she and Martha were and how we could locate her when we were eventually able to get back into the village. We honestly cannot thank Nicky enough. Faced with a very frightening and completely unexpected emergency situation, she put Martha’s wellbeing first without hesitation. That level of responsibility, care and common sense is incredibly reassuring when you are entrusting someone with your much-loved pet and your home. We would **100% trust Nicky with Martha again** and would have absolutely no hesitation recommending her dog and house-sitting services to anyone looking for someone reliable, caring and genuinely committed to the welfare of their pet. Nicola is a genuinely caring person with excellent attention to detail, especially when looking after Stanley. As he is blind, he needs extra care and attention, which Nicola provided above and beyond our expectations. She provided overnight stays with Stanley in my home while I was out of the country on business. She also looked after the house and helped with any household issues that arose, even though this was outside her agreed responsibilities. Stanley is our baby and deserves only the very best. I felt completely confident leaving both him and my home in Nicola’s care.

Dogs were happy and settled when I got back. Nicola sent regular updates. House was all clean and tidy. Will be back in touch for our next trip

Nicki was awesome. The dogs loved her, and it was a really smooth experience for everyone. We will certainly book her again!

Nicky did an excellent job taking care of our two cats. I received a detailed report and pictures twice each day. I highly recommend her to take care of your pets!
