Pet care experience

Dog person through and through

Hi, my name is Nicola. I have had dogs around me my whole life from being little and have taken the lead on training most of them. I’m caring, patient, and I love spending my evenings curled up on the sofa with a dog for company. I have a high-energy, cuddly cavapoo at home and a little boy who adores dogs, so I am very used to playtime, walks, and lots of cuddles

Schedule

I am home all week and on weekends, so your dog will have company and won’t be left alone for long. Routine is important to me and I am happy to follow whatever schedule your dog is used to. A typical day includes: morning walk and breakfast, midday playtime and cuddles, then evening walk and dinner with relaxing time together. We can do two shorter walks a day, or one longer country walk — we’re really close to some lovely countryside here in Cotgrave.

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog’s safety and comfort is my top priority. I have a fully fenced back garden with a high security gate, so it’s a safe space for toilet breaks and supervised playtime. I provide a calm, secure environment where dogs can stick to their routine and feel right at home. You can trust that your dog will be cared for, watched closely, and treated like part of our family.

Pets

A typical day

A typical day is all about routine, company, and fun. Morning walks and breakfast, then playtime in the garden. Lots of cuddles and attention. In the afternoon we’ll do another walk or head out for a longer country walk — we’re right by lovely countryside — plus puzzle toys and training games. Evenings are for dinner and relaxing together on the sofa. I love keeping dogs active with fetch, tug, sniffaris, and lots of supervised garden play in my fully fenced back garden. I’m happy to stick to whatever routine your dog is used to.

To make sure your dog feels safe and settled, it really helps me to know a few things in advance as follows. Routine: Usual walk times, feeding times, and how much food they have Behaviour: How they are with other dogs, on lead, and if they have any recall issues Health: Any medications, allergies, vet details, and how to reach you in an emergency Comforts: Favourite toys, bed, treats, and anything that helps them relax House rules: What they’re allowed on furniture, sleeping arrangements, toilet signals The more I know ahead of time, the easier it is to keep their routine the same and make them feel right at home.
