Pet care experience
A gentle soul, who adores animals!
I have grown up with dogs and cats my whole life, and moved to the UK from South Africa in October, 2021. I originally first joined Rover to find a trustworthy sitter for my pup while we were away on holiday, and now I’d love to offer that same peace of mind to other dog owners. Being around dogs brings me so much joy, and I love taking care of them as if they were my own. In November 2023 I had to say goodbye to my 13 year old Dachshund named Thor, and I miss him terribly... Rover allows me the opportunity to spend time with awesome dogs and fill the gap, without having the full time commitment.

Safety, trust & environment
I stay in a flat, and do not have my own garden, but there is a communal lawn in the front of the building and lots of parks nearby. I also stay on the first floor, so there are stairs, but if your dog struggles with stairs or has arthritis, I am happy to carry them - I had to do this all the time with my elderly dachshund.
Ratings and reviews
A last minute business trip to Tunbridge meant Luna needed someone to look after her for an hour. Delighted to have found Nicola. She was caring, kind and flexible. Even though it was only for an hour Nicola had a planned route, treats and poo bags on hand and was very mindful of the 35 degree heat. So combo of Luna having a snooze by the fan and a quick trot around for a sniff was perfect. Would recommend.
Nicola is a lovely, really friendly lady. She went above and beyond to take care of my little dog and to keep me up to date with how he was doing. He had his own little holiday while I had mine. I can’t recommend her highly enough for any service.
We love it when Nicola comes to watch Buzz and Samson! She is so kind, gentle and patient with our "problem" dog, Buzz, and Samson loves playing with her. Nicola is a wonderful sitter and really understands how to manage animals. She is very communicative and we received plenty of updates from he. I have a great deal of confidence in Nicola's care of our dogs and I'll use her again & again when she's available!

Nicola is an exceptional dog sitter and I wish I could clone her! She is wonderful with both of our dogs, but one of our dogs needs special attention (he's very wary of strangers and it takes him a long time to warm up!) She worked to gain his trust so that she could walk him, and she used a number of calming techniques so that he would relax. She also provided photos and regular updates for us, which gave us peace of mind while we were out. I really enjoy having Nicola take care of our boys and I appreciate her patience and care with them! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!!

Schedule
I'm a self-employed graphic designer and I am lucky enough to be able work from anywhere with a stable Wi-Fi connection. My working schedule is flexible from day-to-day, which means I can always make time for walks and bathroom breaks as needed.
