Love all creatures great or small
I’ve had animals my whole life, including cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, and even goldfish. I’ve also cared for rescue animals that had been neglected or mistreated, which taught me the importance of patience, kindness, and building trust. I currently have three cats: Olly, who is 10, Molly, who is 5, and Nova, who is 12 weeks old. They all have completely different personalities, and caring for them has taught me how important it is to understand each animal’s individual needs. Some love lots of fuss and cuddles, while others prefer their own space. Some enjoy being brushed, while others don’t. I enjoy getting to know each animal’s personality and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for in the way that suits them best. They’re wonderful company and always great listeners! I believe that building trust with animals takes time, patience, and consistency. I enjoy getting to know them at their own pace and learning what makes them feel safe and happy. I also trained my Labrador to sit and give his paw using positive reinforcement, patience, consistency, and plenty of treats. I’m very observant and quick to notice when an animal isn’t acting like themselves. When my cat Jimmy became unwell, I recognised the signs immediately and took him straight to the vet. Sadly, he couldn’t be saved, but I was grateful that I acted quickly. I’ve also noticed changes in the behaviour of my current cats, which led to them receiving the surgery and treatment they needed. I take pride in understanding every animal’s individual personality, routine, and preferences. My goal is always to make them feel safe, loved, and relaxed while giving owners complete peace of mind that their pets are receiving the best possible care.

I always care for pets as if they were my own. Before looking after them, I like to learn about their usual routine, personality, likes and dislikes, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any medical requirements. I know how important it is for pets to stick to their normal routine, as it helps them feel safe and relaxed while their owner is away. In a pet owner’s home, I make sure they have fresh food and water, clean litter trays or toilet breaks, plenty of exercise and playtime where appropriate, and lots of love and attention. I also keep their home tidy and secure and send regular updates and photos so owners know their pet is happy and well cared for. If caring for pets in my own home, I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment where they can settle in comfortably. I make sure they have plenty of attention, enrichment, and rest while following the routine they’re used to as closely as possible. I’m very observant and always keep an eye on a pet’s behaviour, appetite, and overall wellbeing. If I notice anything unusual, I will contact the owner straight away and seek veterinary advice if needed. My priority is always making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, loved, and cared for.

Nicola has been an absolute godsend when I have to go away. She cares for my 3 cats like they’re her own. She makes sure their feeders are filled up, they have fresh water & litter trays are cleaned. Her attention to detail makes her the ideal sitter. She sends videos and photos for my piece of mind and is always on time. I can’t live without her help now.

Schedule
Caring for cats and dogs fits naturally into my daily routine. I currently have the flexibility to dedicate my time to providing reliable, attentive care, and my goal is to make pet sitting my main focus. A few years ago, I was diagnosed with lupus. After working closely with my medical team and trying different treatments, my condition is now stable and well managed. The experience made me rethink what I wanted from my career. Rather than returning to a traditional 9-to-5 role, I decided I wanted to do something I’m genuinely passionate about. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and spending time caring for them brings me real happiness. Because I have a flexible schedule, I can give pets the time, patience, and attention they deserve while keeping to their normal routines. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, companionship, or simply making sure they feel safe and comfortable, I’m committed to providing the best possible care and giving owners peace of mind while they’re away.
