I have taken early retirement and I am available for house-sitting between my other volunteering and travel commitments. I'm Wiltshire based, but I also have North Devon connections and I house-sit throughout the South West and beyond. As I don't have any other employment I can fully focus on your animals and home.

I'm a responsible, grown-up, home-owner. I'm happy to follow your instructions and routines with your animals and to look after your home and garden likewise. I am fully insured, dog first aid trained and I have a current DBS certificate. I will bring all paperwork and photo ID to our initial meet and greet. I have an estate car with dog guard so would be able to get your dog safely and swiftly to a vet in an emergency. I also have a premium subscription to the Ordnance Survey app so that I can find all of your local walks easily.

Pet care experience
I had my own animals (dogs, cats, horses) for over thirty years. I'm now without any of my own pets, but I've been pet-sitting for four years. I'm happy to look after most breeds, but I'm not really a fan of bull/guarding types (sorry). Smoke-free homes only please.

Nicky agreed to housesit for us very short notice for a ten day holiday. We were so happy to find her! She was totally reliable and trustworthy, brilliant with Rusty (our young Labrador), who had clearly had a lovely time, and she left the house absolutely spotless. She also stayed in touch with us while we were away. We would wholeheartedly recommend her and look forward to booking her again!
Nicky was a very thoughtful and considerate house sitter and spent a lot of time, care and attention looking after our 4 month puppy! We felt in excellent hands with her and our puppy seemed very happy!
First time we have used someone to house/dog sit for our Lab Nova. Nicky was very efficient setting up the house sit and able to come and meet Nova at home and go through all her requirements beforehand. Nicky demonstrates a calm and mature approach to house sitting, so we knew Nova would be in safe hands and well looked after. We would happily use Nicky again and can recommend her too.
