Before a stay, I like to know the dog’s daily routine, feeding schedule, walking habits, allergies, medications, and any behavioural traits such as anxiety or sensitivity to noise. This helps me make sure they feel safe, comfortable and at home from day one.

A typical day includes regular walks, feeding at the dog’s usual times, calm play or enrichment activities, and plenty of rest. I adapt the day to each dog’s energy level and preferences, focusing on relaxed walks, sniffing time and companionship rather than overstimulation.

Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid, including my own three. I’ve also helped my cousins with their pets many times, always with love, patience and responsibility. My wife Ana also grew up around dogs and has experience caring for larger breeds, so we’re comfortable handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments.

Poppy was so happy with her new minders and had a lovely holiday so I was happy also. She was clearly loved and cared for, had plenty of company, walks and affection. Nickolas is very good with dogs and Poppy took to him straight away!
