A typical day
I tailor activities based on what each pet needs, particularly while their owner is away. I love long walks around Portland's neighborhoods, a good game of fetch with those ball-loving pups and if everyone is okay with car rides, getting out of town to state parks for longer walks is my most favorite. My schedule often allows for lots of time to just hang at home, too. Snuggling up to watch movies together is the best way to wrap up a day of adventuring!

I have cared for dogs personally and professionally for over twenty years. I offer courteous, timely and respectful engagement with your home and warm, kind and fun-filled times with your canine family member. I am comfortable with dogs who experience anxiety, nervousness around humans, other dogs, cats etc. as well as those who are spoiled by attention every where they go. I am available for cat visiting and care, too! While I have a particular soft spot for senior dogs I have yet to find a dog I don't love. I can't wait to meet yours!

Our dog Buster LOVED Nicki. Whenever she arrived at our house Buster would escort her car up the driveway and then sit at the door waiting for a pat on the head. Beside the great bond she formed with our dog, Nicki is super reliable and trustworthy. She keeps her appointments and shows up on time, ready to go. Nicki always treats dogs and people with kindness and respect. Next time we need a dog sitter we'll look for Nicki.

Nicki has watched my dog many times and she is not only kind and caring, but also organized, responsible, and communicative. She has your dog's best interest in mind and will go above and beyond to take care of your dog while you're away.
Nicki stayed with our two somewhat anxious Border Collie mixes while we attended an out-of-town family event. She took wonderful care of them - when we returned, they were relaxed and calm. We will definitely ask her to stay with them again!
