Pet care isn't just part of my routine — it is my routine. With a background in television production, I know firsthand how unpredictable long shoot days can be. That's why I've built my schedule around being reliably available for the pets in my care. My days revolve around regular walks, meals, potty breaks, and plenty of downtime with my own small pack — Yoshi, Cloudie, and two cats, Sally and Charlie. When your dog joins us, they slot right into that rhythm. Whether you're on a 14-hour shoot or catching a flight, you can count on a consistent, attentive routine for your pup.

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a gated apartment complex, so your dog is in a secure environment from the moment they arrive. Inside, dogs are treated like family — they're welcome on the couch, the bed, and anywhere else they feel comfortable, with plenty of dog beds available for smaller pups. I keep a close eye on energy levels, appetite, and behavior so I can catch anything that seems off and keep you informed. My home is also shared with two cats, Sally and Charlie, so it's best suited for dogs who are cat-friendly or cat-neutral. Throughout the day we take multiple neighborhood walks to keep your dog active and stimulated. For drop-in visits, I come directly to your home so your cat or dog can stay in their own safe, familiar space.

Information Nicki M. would like to know about your pet

Before your pup arrives, I'd love to know everything that helps them feel comfortable and safe. Please share any dietary restrictions or allergies upfront — I always have treats on hand and want to make sure they're enjoying only what's right for them. Let me know about any medications, feeding schedules, or special routines I should follow, as well as anything that might stress them out (thunderstorms, other dogs, strangers, etc.). The more I know ahead of time, the better I can make their stay feel like a home away from home.

A typical day

A typical day with us starts with a morning walk through the neighborhood — a chance to sniff, explore, and get the day started right. Back home, it's time to settle in: lounging on the couch, soaking up some sun, and of course, snacks. We head out four times a day total, keeping a consistent rhythm of fresh air, exercise, and potty breaks that dogs thrive on. In between walks it's all about hangout time with the pack — play, belly rubs, and whatever your pup is in the mood for. We wrap the day with an evening stroll before winding down for the night. Throughout it all, I'll send you photo and text updates so you can see exactly how your dog is doing — because a happy pup is worth sharing.

Pet care experience

I'm Nicki, and I share my home with a small, friendly pack: Yoshi, my lively 11-year-old Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound mix; Cloudie, our newest rescue; and two cats, Sally and Charlie. Our days revolve around neighborhood walks, relaxed hangouts, and — let's be honest — many, many snacks. Having spent years in television production with long, unpredictable hours, I understand the peace of mind that comes from knowing your pets are in reliable, attentive care. I've created a calm, well-supervised home where dogs can enjoy companionship, downtime, and the comfort of feeling truly at home.

Nicki is the best dog walker/sitter I've ever had! I have two large dogs, a senior and puppy, and work long hours in production. Nicki has been there for me at the drop of a hat. She's reliable, responsible, great communicator, friendly, and most important, my two dogs are always excited to see Nicki. Nicki takes them on nice long walks as well as does stays in my house when I have to go out of town. 10/10 stars, she's simply the best!

Nikki watches my english bulldog Jack Bauer. . She is great with him. She knows when he needs breaks because he'll push it himself when it comes to playing ball. Hes best friends with her dog Yoshi. I trust her completely to watch the love of my life Jack bauer. I work in TV production and sometimes work 14 hour days. She is alway accommodating and understanding to my schedule. You'd like lucky to have Nikki love your dog!
