I shall be away from the home approximately 3 hours per day. I work from home on a part time basis as a book-keeper. My day rate includes 1 hours walk per day which can be split as needed. If your pets need more, this can be added on as needed.

I am DBS certified and have professional indemnity insurance. I endeavour to arrive at a sit before the owners have left so we can have a detailed handover. If this is not possible then video calling can be arranged. I feed and clean up after pets as per owners instructions. I enjoy having cuddles and playing with your fur babies. A document stating your pets daily routine, likes and dislikes, meds etc is very helpful for me to refer to during my stay.

I understand that I wont be the perfect fit for each owner / pet. Therefore, please state feeding and exercise routines and any difficult behaviours. I am happy to accomodate what I can but I also know what I can't accomodate. It wouldn't be fair to your pets.
A typical day
Your pets will have as similar routine as they are used to. Please let me know what they enjoy ie sniffing the neighbourhood, special toys or games or just lazing around.

Pet care experience
Hi there. I love being a pet sitter in other peoples homes. It allows me to give personal attention to the fur family. This is great for anxious or elderly pets and for owners that don’t want to send their pets to kennels. I aim to treat pets how you would treat them whether that be sleeping on the bed with me or keeping a strict watch on their food intake. I live in Northamptonshire, near Wellingborough. I started looking after other people’s pets in 2020. My approach with dogs is to be calm yet assertive so they feel at ease. I allow them to sniff to get to know me in a peaceful manner. I have found this works very well and the dogs I look after seem to relax quickly into the arrangement. In 2020/2021 I fostered cats on behalf on the cat protection charity. Which gave me experience and knowledge of how to look after cats while letting them have their own space to let them dictate when they want to approach. I have also had my own pet cats and adore cat cuddles. I look forward to hearing all about your pets special needs 💜

We had been wanting to book a house/pet sitter for a while but been apprehensive but came across rover and thought let’s give it a try. After reading a few reviews was so glad Nickala promptly replied. Nickala came round on my initial enquiry and explained what she does, her insurance/checks and to meet our animals (1 Frenchie and 2 cats). Hand over was very simple. Plenty of photos and updates while we were away, the perfect amount of updates. We have come back from our 4 day break, it’s like we’ve never been away. Our animals are relaxed and happy and our home is spotless too. Thanks so much Nickala, we can’t tell you how grateful we are. Tyson, Zeus and Zero loved having your company it seems 🥰🐶🐱🐱
Nickala was absolutely fantastic and did a wonderful job of looking after our two while we were away. They were both cared for so well, and nothing was too much trouble. Nickala even taught our pup ‘lay down’ while we were away. Throughout the stay while we were away Nickala sent photos and videos every day so we could keep up to date with their adventures. Thank you doing a wonderful job caring for them!
Nickala is very friendly and reliable, kept me well informed every day. She's very good with animals, my Loki took to her straight away, a nice surprise as he's very timid around visitors! Will definitely look to book her again for any future holidays!
Nickala took care of my two dogs over a long weekend in our home. She visited before hand and the questions she asked along with her approach to the dogs reassured me that she would be able o take care of them. One of my dogs is quite elderly and needs extra patience whilst the other can sometimes not be very friendly with other dogs. Nickala kept me updated regularly about how the dogs were doing and settling with a stranger, along with sending update photographs - which was reassuring and good to see they were ok. The house was clean and tidy when we returned how, the dogs acted like we hadn't been away and it was great to have someone at home to keep the plants watered as it had been such a hot and dry weekend. We would certainly book Nickala again to take care of our dogs.
