I’ve always been a dog lover, and now relish the opportunity to make dogs happy all the time! I’m just a huge animal person with a long history of taking care of animals, so helping dogs out just comes second nature to me. Being an animal caregiver really is more like a passion than a vocation for me, so I always go the extra mile when it comes to you and your pooch! One of the best things about me as a sitter is my open availability. Rather than keeping your pup cooped up all during the day, I will be right alongside your pooch the whole day long. That means that I make a great fit for pups that are used to having a companion around them during the day, or for pups that could benefit from that too! My own three pups also make great company for new dogs as well. Being that my schedule is very open and flexible, I’m also happy to work around difficult or unorthodox schedules as well. Whatever it takes to make you and your pup happy, I’m willing to make happen. When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It’s a great way to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. Likewise, it gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your pup and your care expectations. No one knows your dog better than you do, so it’s always great to chat with owners in person about what makes their pup tick! Finally, I just love meeting new dogs! I like to get down on their level to show them that I’m a welcome presence here to make friends, and I’m sure we’ll be best buddies in no time at all. I live by the Golden Rule, which is that I’ll always treat your pup as if they were my own dog. And most of the time, that means doing everything I can to make them as happy as possible! To accomplish that, I believe that great communication is the foundation for any good booking. I love knowing the ins and outs of your pup’s personality and what makes them as happy as can be. And during a booking, you’ll always be kept up to date on how much fun we’re having with plenty of documentation to prove it! I provide boarding, house sitting, doggy daycare, drop in visits, and walks full time, therefore I can spend most if not all day with your fur babies if needed and have a flexible schedule! I keep doors shut and make sure they're locked and secured for any escape artists. I keep dogs leashed besides in off leash areas such as the yard or dog park and make sure they have a safe space to go, such as a crate or gated off area if they're anxious. I make sure to let them warm up to me on their own time and terms so they know I'm someone they can trust and their friend. I set up the environment so there are no triggers, such as loud noises or other dogs or people, and offer unconditional love, comfort, and support to make sure they're as happy as can be!
