Nick can care for

I recently finished my bachelor's degree at ECSU and began working full time overnight at a mental health facility. I can entertain my pup for a few hours in the mornings so we can both fall asleep in the afternoon. I have some spare time in between in the mornings where I can help out other pups as well!

I make sure that every dog I see is as healthy and happy as can be; whether they are under my care, or not. I have actually called emergency services once on someone who left their dog in the car on a hot day. If the water in their bowl is dirty, or there's less than half, it needs a refill!
Information Nick S. would like to know about your pet
Medical Needs/Concerns (conditions, medications, allergies, disorders, traumas, injuries, etc.) Favorites! (toys, treats, petting techniques, places, activities, etc.) Personality (what is their typical mood like? what are some of their habits/quirks? this will help me recognize if they are acting out of the ordinary)
A typical day
If given permission from the owner, I would be happy to take them to dog parks, hiking trails, swimming, or any other fun ideas their owner might have. There was an elder dog I would dogsit multiple times who went on short walks and didn't seem to love them, but absolutely loved riding in the car. Yet, there are some dogs who are terrified of riding in the car. Activities would depend on and cater to the dog's personality. **I am now offering doggy day care as well! However, it will not be typical. I live in an apartment that does not allow pets, so we will have to spend the day hiking, taking long walks, snack breaks, and playing at dog parks. I was thinking my rate would be for around 6 hours and is flexible by time! Expect them to come back tired! These I am only able to do Saturday-Monday**

Long time dog worker/lover
Pet care experience
I have worked at a dog kennel for about 6 months, dog sat dozens of different dogs (mostly) over the course of 7 years. Including dogs with anxiety and behavioral issues. Now living in a new area looking for new opportunities. I also grew up with 2 of the dogs shown, Riley (Shepherd Mix) and Molly (Black Lab Mix), who are sadly no longer with us. RIP. Help me fill the void! 😂🤞🏼

Reviews

Nick was a life saver on short notice. He took care of our animals and left our house even cleaner than he found it. Titus was very happy when I got home and we plan on having Nick sit for us whenever he’s available.

Nick was great with Skipper and treated him as well as if he was part of pack! Thank you for making Skipper feel loved and safe. 🥰

Nick is fantastic with Skipper... He knows how to interact with a dog that's protecting his Mom from an operation and strangers. Skipper likes Nick's energy and that's a good thing... 🕊️

He always gives my Sully the best attention and I know he helps calm down his anxiety while I’m away. He even gives the cat some love as well. He’s flexible with his schedule and is great with keeping me updated on how my dog did during his visit.
