Your pets are safe with us.
We've been taking care of select dogs for many years for friends and family, knowing that dog owners tend to worry about their pets when they're away and want someone who understands that and will care for their pets as they would. we've always had dogs until recently, I also photograph dogs for fun. We often board a dog who has seizures and requires medication and have watched other unusual dogs including puppies and dogs still healing from surgery. For many years we volunteered at the local humane society. We have a fenced in yard that our late beagle mix of 18 years regularly tried to escape and repeatedly failed. Dogs in our home are considered guests and are treated as such. I currently work from home, so letting dogs out regularly and giving regular attention is no problem at all. I'm done with work in the afternoon which leaves me plenty of time to get dogs out for exercise and socializing. Dorothy, my wife, also has plenty of daytime open for play time and extra loving.

Words cannot describe how grateful I am for Dorothy. I am new to this area and was in a bind. I couldn’t find anyone to watch my little girl. Dorothy understood my situation changed her plans and came to my rescue. Fiona loves Dorothy. She’s super sweet attentive Carese and you could see the love she has for dogs. Schedule
I work from home and regularly take play breaks, Dorothy, my wife is home most days and offers lots of love. We try to get to the dog park now and then on the weekends.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a modest fenced in back yard with a wooded lot behind us, I walk dogs regularly in several areas. We keep also keep a toybox full of dog toys :-)
A typical day
We believe that dogs not only need daily exercise in the form of walks but they also need some mental stimulation in the form of new sights and smells so we have several areas to walk. We also know that many dogs just need to run and like meeting other dogs and we regularly visit the dog park. We're also well versed in dealing with picky eaters.

- We need to know if there are any medical issues (we know many dogs have allergies or are prone to injuries) if they get along with other dogs, or if thunder scares them. Some areas we walk have access to water so knowing if your dog is prone to jumping in and if you're okay with that. We also know some dogs are very hands off while others like lots of attention, so that would be nice to know.
