For any overnight/weekend stays, I will be home and available to play, go for lots of walks and hangout all weekend long with your fur baby. Regular walks, feedings, playtime and relaxation based on your dogs needs is my priority.

I have three loving cats who will keep your dog company. I have a small backyard that is away from cars/traffic and a large front yard. I have a dog tie out and spiral stake for dogs that want to roam around my unfenced front and/or backyard. Playdates with neighboring dogs is always an option or solo, quiet time if they prefer. I can keep your pet on their walking/feeding/play/sleep schedule as you request.

Please let me know if you have any special requests for your pet. This can be anywhere from food allergies, friendliness with cats, crate needs and sleeping arrangements. I allow dogs of all sizes and breeds to be on furniture unless a dog parent does not allow it. I will follow all routines you request and do my best to ensure that your dog enjoys their time with me.
A typical day
I love to be outdoors, so lots of walks, outdoor playtime, picnics, fetch, tug of war, kiddie pool time, and car rides to coffee, restaurants, etc. are always fun activities. I also enjoy some downtime with the dogs I watch. This can be anything from relaxing on the couch, sitting out in the yard, brushing, and lots belly rubs.

Pet care experience
I am a Special Education teacher who works at a Therapeutic School by day and an animal lover all day and night. I do not have kids but I have 3 cats and babysit my friends and families fur babies any chance I get. Pets have free range of my home, they can relax on the couch, chair and bed whenever they want. I have experience watching dogs from pups-elderly. I volunteer at a local animal rescue in Palatine and bring in therapy dogs to visit my classroom. I rescued and adopted a deaf kitty with one eye, and I've always had animals in my home. I am a non-smoker and vegan (vegans really do love animals).

Having two big dogs, it can be hard to find someone you trust to handle them properly and take care of them safely. Nikki has my husband and I’s full confidence when it comes to this. Daisy (4) is a 65 pound social butterfly, but with this comes lots of energy. She loves to play and needs to be worn out so she doesn’t destroy things in the house. Diesel (2) is a skittish, shy, 85 pound love bug. He takes a while to warm up and can look scary, but really just wants cuddles and belly rubs. To have someone we feel confident in is extremely important so belongings don’t get ruined, they don’t escape from the fenced in yard (yes one of our pups knows how to unlock it) and the pups feel comfortable. Nikki sends constant photo updates on the pups when she is with them, which makes us very happy and is comfortable feeding our dogs a unique raw diet that is prepped for them, which can be hard to find.
Nichole is amazing! She has cared for our dog Finn on multiple occasions. He was treated as a member of her family and showered with affection. He had the best time with her! We were kept updated with photos and text updates throughout our trip. In addition she is an avid runner if that is something your doggo would like. Highly recommend and we will definitely use her every time we travel.
Nichole is the best!! Very kind hearted and loving. She has taken care of my elder dog and my cat. I don't trust a lot of people with my 18 year old dog, but I have no reservations when Nikki is with them. Nichole is a great!! I cannot say enough kind words about her.
Nichole (Nikki) is patient, kind and caring towards all animals. When caring for fur babies it’s evident how happy she makes them and they make her. Reliable, dependable and will remain in as much contact with you as you need for updates to keep your mind at ease.
