You know that person animals just gravitate towards because they feel calm and safe? That’s me. A lifelong dog and cat owner, I've also fostered kittens and puppies for 10 yrs through the Animal Rescue League in Boston. I’m comfortable with animals of all sizes and ages. I have a Great Pyrenees mix and used to have a Bernese, and was a longtime foster of a pair of chihuahua mixes. I've bottle-fed kittens, and given senior pets their meds (and slow walks). I’m an active mom of 5 grown human kids, so patience is my middle name. Professionally, I’m a work-from-home journalist (higher ed, travel) and happy to work from yours if your animal wants more companionship than just a drop-in visit. Animals know the people they can trust -- they might be entertained by pizzaz, but they sidle up against the calm, patient, consistent presence. That's me. I'm a mom of 5 nearly-grown children, so I understand order and systems, and will be a quick learner of yours.

Nichole was a foster caregiver for the non-profit rescue where I currently work. Her and her family provided care to countless animals over the years, including those with complex medical needs. She is trustworthy and a very experienced animal caregiver.
Nichole fostered our cat three years ago, and guided us through the process of introducing the kitty to our dog and new surroundings. She is highly knowledgeable on animal behavior and care (she has both cats and dog of her own), is compassionate and kind. If she lived close to us I would definitely have her pet sit for us!
She has cared for my pets multiple times, and I always know they're in great hands with her. She's incredibly knowledgeable, reliable, and has tons of experience with both cats and dogs, including animals that need extra attention or specialized care.
