Pet care experience
Silverlake: Will go the extra mile!
Hi, I’m Nico! I’m a grad student at UCLA’s film school, and I’ve been in L.A. for about 5 years. Aside from caring for personal pets, I’ve been a consistent and reliable dogsitting resource for many friends (here in L.A. and back in Texas). Graduate school allows me plenty of time to care for and attend to all the adorable dogs in my social circle! - I get along with all personalities. So whether your dog is high energy and constantly in the mood to play, or whether your dog likes to be a couch potato and kick back, I can easily match their vibe. - My girlfriend and I fostered a “classic canine” (9 y/o +) so I’m experienced with administering medications and keeping strict routines. FUN FACT: I recently had to bathe and blow dry a dog that was skunked at night. The dog’s owners later said neither the house nor the dog’s coat smelled like skunk. 🤯 - I’m committed to making sure you feel confident in your choice of dog sitter/walker, and I know you’ll be happy with my services. :)
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
I am deeply cognizant of any potential hazards for your pet; I like to discuss any specific hazards or concerns you have while your dog is with me. That could be anything from being mindful of open doors, to a strict diet, to keeping pets from teething at their stitches from a recent surgery.
Ratings and reviews
Our first time booking Nico was a dream. He was super communicative and did everything to make sure we knew our big, fun husky Bruce was in good hands while we were away for a long weekend. He did a great job cleaning the apartment and gave us updates about anything important. We’ll definitely be booking Nico again!

Nico was wonderful with my senior pittie Tashi and made sure to send plenty of updates! I really appreciated that he was so attentive to making sure Tashi was comfortable in the heatwave and Nico also was very diligent about giving Tashi his meds. 10/10 recommend!

This was my first time using Rover and Nico made sure to make it the most seamless introduction possible. I booked him last minute with my wife in labor and he stepped in and gave the most outstanding care to my Cavapoo and took such great care of him. He provided many updates and followed every request on the instructions. To find such great help in a time of need was amazing. Nico is very personable as well and I look forward to using him as a sitter for Brownie in the future!!

Highly recommend Nico. He left my dog happier and also, unnecessarily my place cleaner, than when I left. A warm smart person and a pleasure to have my home.

Nico was excellent with my little Boston Terrier, Rio. Rio has a lot of separation anxiety, and Nico constantly made sure that he was okay while watching him. Super communicative and your pups will love him. Highly recommended!
Nico was a great pet sitter for our dog. He was prompt and a great communicator. He provided us updates and photos throughout the day. Would definitely use again!

Schedule
I’m currently a grad student in the midst of writing my dissertation. This means I make my own schedule with very few strict time commitments during the week. A normal day for me consists of writing in the morning, a long walk in the afternoon, and reading/editing in the evening. All this to say, I really enjoy having a little buddy 🐶 by my side throughout the day.
