Pet care is already a built-in part of my daily routine. I walk my dog multiple times a day and keep him on a consistent feeding schedule (6am and 5pm), so I’m very used to structuring my day around an animal’s needs. I also take care of my cat’s feeding schedule and litter maintenance, which keeps me on top of cleanliness and routine. Because of this, adding additional pets into my schedule feels natural. I’m already in the rhythm of regular walks, feedings, and check-ins. I’m consistent, dependable, and make sure animals are cared for on time, every time.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets, whether in my home or a client’s. I make sure the environment is clean, secure, and free of anything that could be harmful, and I always keep a close eye on pets. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and stick closely to their pets' usual routine so they feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible. I follow all instructions carefully, from feeding schedules to medications, and I pay attention to any changes in behavior or energy. I’m also very mindful during walks, keeping dogs leashed, avoiding unsafe situations, and staying aware of our surroundings at all times. Overall, I approach pet care with a calm, attentive mindset so your pet feels safe and you can feel confident they’re in good hands.
Information Nicholas T. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for a pet, I like to understand their personality, routine, and any specific needs. It’s really helpful to know things like their feeding schedule, energy level, and any behavioral quirks—whether they’re shy, reactive, or have triggers to avoid (like certain dogs, loud noises, etc.). I also like to know about any medical needs, allergies, or medications, as well as how they typically respond to new people or environments. For dogs, leash behavior and recall are important, and for cats or other pets, how social or independent they tend to be. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can keep your pet comfortable, safe, and stress-free while sticking as closely as possible to their normal routine.
A typical day
A typical day is built around keeping your pet happy, comfortable, and engaged. For dogs, that usually means multiple walks tailored to their energy level—whether that’s longer, more active walks or shorter, relaxed ones. I like to mix in playtime as well, whether it’s fetch, tug, or just letting them burn off some energy in a way they enjoy. In between, there’s plenty of downtime so they can relax and feel at ease, along with regular check-ins for water, feeding, and any specific needs you’ve outlined. I also make sure to give lots of attention and affection so they don’t feel lonely while you’re away. For cats and other pets, I focus on maintaining their routine—feeding, litter, and playtime—while respecting their space and personality (whether they’re social or more independent). Overall, I try to strike a balance between activity, routine, and comfort so your pet has a stress-free, enjoyable day.

Pet care experience
I’ve been around animals my entire life and caring for them has always come naturally to me. Growing up, my household included five cats, two dogs, and a hamster at one point—so I’m very comfortable managing multiple pets with different personalities and needs. Over the years, I’ve also cared for birds, mice, a bearded dragon, and even a tarantula, which I think speaks to how genuinely comfortable and patient I am with animals of all kinds. What sets me apart is my attentiveness and ability to read animal behavior. I’m good at picking up on subtle changes in mood, energy, or routine, which helps me respond quickly and keep pets comfortable and safe. Whether your pet is high-energy, shy, or a bit particular, I try to take the time to understand what makes them feel at ease. I’m also very reliable when it comes to following instructions—whether that’s feeding schedules, medications, or specific routines. My goal is to make sure your pet feels secure and cared for, and that you feel confident knowing they’re in good hands.
Reviews
Nic is a very dependable pet sitter. He’s pet sitted for our whippet & cat on several occasions. It was great having someone who is a true animal lover taking care of them. Our whippet has a medical condition that requires he gets his medicine on time and it was a relief knowing we could count on Nic. He was also terrific at keeping us updated with texts and snuggle photos.
Nicholas has cared for my two German Shepherds several times while I went on trips and always did a great job. Both dogs actually like to see him.

Nic was an incredibly thoughtful and communicative petsitter. My dog, Rocky has a lot of quirks and needs that Nic took in stride and I could feel the love he had towards him. He was proactive about ensuring Rocky’s medication, feeding, and walking schedule were adhered to and made sure to send lots of pictures each day. I absolutely would recommend Nic for anyone’s house/pet sitting needs.
Nic has watched our dog and cat for us when we go out of town for the last few years. Our pets love him and he has always been reliable and communicative. I would absolutely recommend him.
