Hi, I’m Nick! I’ve worked in professional pet care and veterinary settings for over a decade — from kennel assistant to pharmacy tech, in emergency and ICU departments. I’ve cared for animals of all sizes, ages, and personalities, but my heart belongs especially to those with a little extra “spice” — whether that’s anxiety, aggression, disabilities, or complex medical needs. I’ve raised and trained my own blind, seizure-prone pup, who went from terrified to total social butterfly, and I’ve worked with diabetic cats, nervous rescue dogs, and grumpy geriatric pugs. I’m comfortable giving oral and injectable meds, keeping a close eye on signs of distress, and working with pets who need a little extra patience and love. I currently offer drop-ins, walks, and overnight sitting in your home (no hosting at my apartment, unfortunately). I’m flexible, reliable, and truly love making a bond with every pet I meet — especially the shy, quirky, or “tough” ones. Whether your companion needs a quick potty break, careful insulin management, or just someone to sit quietly and build trust, I’m here to help. I worked in veterinary medicine for nearly 10 years, including in emergency and ICU care. I'm confident administering medication, recognizing distress signs, and calmly responding to emergencies. Nick took such good care of my fur babies! This is my first time using Rover in a new state so I was very anxious, but once I met Nicholas and saw him in track with my dogs, I knew they were going to be taking very well care of. He sent update photos and everyone looked happy and healthy! Thank you, Nick for making me feel so relaxed on my trip!
Nicholas is a terrific Petsitter. Our cats are shy but are very comfortable when Nick stays here. Our dog absolutely loves him. He’s a terrific communicator and was patient when we were in and out of cell range and needed to coordinate times for updates.
Nick was great! He came for a meet & great before finalizing plans which I really appreciate. My dog has some behavioral needs (mainly dog reactivity) that I wanted someone experienced to handle, and he followed all of our guidelines perfectly to make the stay go as smoothly as possible. I’ve been nervous to find a sitter who is comfortable managing dog reactivity and I’m relieved that I was able to find Nick who is willing to accommodate special needs like that.
Nick could not have been better with all three of our pets. Asher got dramatic as we were leaving and ran right into Nick’s arms, wrapped his legs around Nick’s neck and licked his face. Instant BFFs!! Both of our cats are shy and responded really well to how Nicholas allowed them space so they could up to him at their slow pace. Nick sent photos every day. He left the house in excellent condition. He took care of our deck plants and even took out the trash bins. Five stars plus!
Nicholas took wonderful care of my dog who suffers from glaucoma and has a very strict eye drop protocol. He followed it perfectly and even took her to a vet appointment. He took perfect care of her and my home, gave me daily feedback and i came back to a happy, contented dog and pristine home. I cant recommend him highly enough
Nicolas watched our cat and snake while we were off getting married/on honey moon and did a fantastic job! Our cat seemed so much less stressed than he usually is when we get home from even a weekend away and we were gone for almost two weeks! Got consistent check ins and pictures. Came home to a nearly empty treat tub so we know the cat was well loved on, the snakes humidity was properly maintained, and the house was clean! Cannot thank Nicolas enough for the peace of mind he provided so we could truly enjoy our honey moon.

Schedule
I have a wide range of availability during summer. During the school year I attend classes but they are typically close together so I can provide care for the majority of the day. I am flexible on weekends and can give you pet extra love and care during your weekend getaway!

That said, if your pup is full of energy and ready to go, I’m equally happy to match their enthusiasm with playtime, walks, or fun enrichment activities. With a background in veterinary care, kennel work, and a lifetime of loving my own pets, I’m prepared for just about anything—and always ready to give your pet the care they deserve.
