I have always been a dog lover. My childhood and teen years were shared with three energetic boxers. Since I have gotten married we have owned two golden retrievers. Our first golden (Sandy) spent twelve wonderful years with us, sometimes sharing vacations with the family. After she passed we got a male golden (Jake), a beautiful and energetic dog who still is with us. Both my husband Nick and I love dogs. He seems to possess a natural affinity for animals and has logged endless miles taking Jake on various excursions. We have a fenced in yard that any dog would love to play in. We have always been devoted to our pets, providing for both their physical and emotional needs. My schedule is very flexible and I will be able to share quality time with any canine guest. We promise to provide a safe and loving environment for any pets who are left in our care. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover all my life. Nicholas and Mary Ellen were more than wonderful! Right from our initial meeting them both we knew we'd have a great experience with them! They were very attentive with our dog at the meet and great, and so very understanding of our dog's needs. We were at ease right away. And our dog took to them and their home immediately...she just seemed very comfortable with them and in their home. By the end of the meet and great we knew this would be a great match, and we felt confident leaving our dog with them. (We have a senior dog with some special needs who we adopted 2 years ago, and we're always a little nervous leaving her hoping she doesn't think she's been left again.) Upon picking up our dog we could tell she had been both well loved and well taken care of, and we felt that Nicholas and Mary Ellen really enjoyed their time with our dog. We will most definitely use Nicholas and Mary Ellen again!
Wonderful sitters. Very kind and attentive. Our dog is a walker and they gave ample walks in spite of extreme cold temps. Kept us updated and sent photos. Made us very comfortable as first time Rover customers.
Cody did not want to come home if that tells you anything. Nicholas & Mary Ellen were asking and responsive to us for the entire process. Highly recommended for anyone!
Mary Ellen and Nick have taken care of our senior pug Eddy for a few years now, and they treat him like he's their own. He is usually the only dog during his stay and that makes him happy! They send pictures and updates while he's boarding to let me know how he's doing. Eddy is in good hands with Mary Ellen and Nick.

We are both retired. We have all of the free time needed to provide your pets with all their requirements for play, walks and affection.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a fenced in yard where the dogs can enjoy fresh air and as much exercise as they desire. I like staying out with them in the yard and throw them balls to chase. As always they will receive our love and affection.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks We certainly will. Your dog will get at least two walks a day. Each walk would be around our block (about 1/4 mile at the least). Your dog's sleeping arrangement We have two or three comfortable places in our house where your dog can sleep. He can choose wherever he likes best! Depending upon their size they are welcome to sleep on our bed. The prior dogs we owned always did! Time I'll spend with your dog We are very attentive and will treat your dog as our special guest! Your dog will be walked at least twice a day.
