Availability
I am a teacher, but I am currently on summer break, so my schedule is very open and flexible. I have plenty of availability during the day, evenings, and weekends, while still being dependable and consistent with the care I provide. I am able to work around each pet’s routine and make sure they get the attention, exercise, and care they need.

Safety, trust & environment
In my home, pets will have a safe, clean, and comfortable space to relax and feel cared for. I live in a large 3-bedroom apartment with secure doors that create natural barriers throughout the apartment, which makes it easy to separate spaces when needed or help a pet feel more comfortable. There are no other pets in the home, so your pet will receive my full attention without having to adjust to unfamiliar animals. One of the best parts of my home is the fully fenced-in backyard. There is plenty of space for dogs to run around, play, use the bathroom, or just stretch their legs safely. I can provide walks, playtime, feeding, water, comfort, and supervision based on each pet’s normal routine. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to follow the owner’s instructions closely so the pet can stay on their usual schedule. I know how important consistency is, so I pay attention to feeding times, walks, medication instructions, favorite toys, comfort needs, and any house rules. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for whether they are in my home or their own. Please note, I only sit pets from 1 household at a time - that way your pet(s) get all of my attention!

Information Nicholas E. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for your pet, I like to know as much as possible about their routine, personality, and comfort level. Helpful things to share include feeding schedules, potty routines, walking preferences, favorite toys or activities, and any commands they know. It is also important for me to know about any allergies, medications, health concerns, separation anxiety, fears, triggers, or behaviors I should watch for around people, other dogs, loud noises, food, toys, or new spaces. I also appreciate knowing what helps comfort them when they are nervous or overstimulated. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can keep your pet safe, comfortable, and cared for in a way that feels familiar to them.
A typical day
I like to keep pets active, comfortable, and engaged based on their personality and energy level. For dogs, I can provide walks, backyard playtime, fetch, tug-of-war, sniffing time, and plenty of attention. Since I have a fully fenced-in backyard, dogs will have space to run, play, or simply stretch their legs safely. I also understand that not every pet wants constant activity, so I’m happy to adjust. Some pets may prefer cuddles, quiet companionship, belly rubs, or just having someone nearby. My goal is to make sure each pet feels safe, cared for, and happy while their owner is away.

Pilsen- Loving Care for Your Pet
Pet care experience
I have been a pet owner for over 20 years, so caring for animals has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have helped raise, train, exercise, and comfort dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I was also a cat owner for over a decade, which gave me experience with pets who have very different personalities, routines, and comfort levels. My family has been pet sitting for nearly 10 years, and I helped with a lot of that care over the years. Through that, I learned how important it is to be reliable, patient, and attentive to each pet’s needs. Now that I am on my own, I am excited to start offering pet care myself and to provide pets with the same kind of safe, loving care I would want for my own animals.

Reviews

Nicholas took care of our cocker spaniel over a long weekend. He was responsive, gave regular updates with photos throughout the stay, and was proactive in making sure that our dog was comfortable, even during a heat wave! Would definitely book with Nicholas again.
Nicholas exceeded my expectations! He was attentive to my dog’s needs, followed all instructions carefully, and treated my pup like one of his own. His communication was excellent, and I loved receiving updates throughout the visit. It’s clear he genuinely loves animals, and I felt completely comfortable leaving my dog in his care. I can’t recommend him enough!
Nick is an amazing caring individual who gives 110% to everything he does. You won’t find a better candidate to complete any task with nothing short of perfection.
Nicholas has been a pet owner his entire life and has a soft spot for all animals. He spoiled his rescue cat and treated her like a princess. He loves dogs and we trust him to care for our dogs because he spends time with them to get them comfortable especially when they are missing their family. If you leave your pet in his care, trust me, they will be well cared for and you’ll have nothing to worry about!
