Safety, trust & environment
In our experience, that dogs and cats crave more than anything else is safety, trust, and an understanding of the ways they attempt to communicate with you. Our pets are capable of being on their own when needed, but when we are around they never leave our sides even for a moment. They are obedience as trained through positive reinforcement and socialization through meaningful experiences. They look to us for guidance, but we also like to challenge them to think for themselves to solve problems such as getting a to out of reach or navigating to us when the path is not visibly clear. I give this level of attention and support to every pet I meet and know how to build a relationship of trust and respect quickly and effectively. Even pets belonging to former roommates tend to follow me more than their owners after enough time.

Information Nicholas & Carole B. would like to know about your pet
Important to know about general demeanor around new people (and around dogs and cats if they board with us). Our cat can handle herself with a dog that isn't as familiar or nice with cats, but less prey drive is preferred. Medications, feeding routines, and potty training abilities. It is also good to be aware of the way you typically interact with your pets, for example if you tend to be more stern with them and require crate time etc then we would need to be able to stay maintain consistency with care.
A typical day
Our bigger dog is a big fan of playing with dogs of all sizes. Tug or war and chasing the ball together are always fun. At other times we just hang out in the gated front yard, get fresh air, and greet the other dogs and people walking by. A good walk is always fun. Our cat likes to play hide and seek (she is usually the seeker), but every pet is different. We also like to set up some small fun thinking activities such as pushing buttons to request things like ball, treats, or walks.

Pet care experience
We both grew up with dogs. We currently have 1 cat which we have had for 10 years, a large dog, and a medium sized dogs. This collection of pets gives us a good amount of experience in caring for different types of pets as well as how they interact with each other. In addition to our own pets we have also cared for some of our friends pets overnight on many occasions and have shared houses with roommates who have also had dogs and cats. I have no prior professional experience caring for others pets, do I m a behavioral psychologist who has worked with neurodivergent children for many years and can apply these concepts to pet care.
Reviews

Nicholas and Carole are the best! Our 8-month old high energy dog Fozzy loved his time there and slept so well at home afterwards, and even the next day! Nicholas took him on fun walks, exercised him with play time in their backyard, and let him run and play with their dog Bruce. They sent frequent photo and videos during the day. They even got him to go potty right before I picked him up, so that I wouldn't have to do that after we got home late at night. We hope to book them again in the future!

Nicholas & Carole took great care of our labradoodle including fun trips to the park and snuggle time. They also sent pics and video to keep us in the loop. We’re grateful for their care.

We’re fantastic and super sweet with aloy, providing all the fetch time she could want. Plenty of pics and were kind enough to watch her over the holiday

Wonderful couple who really care and know how to handle dogs! Looking forward to many more walks!
