I’m currently working part time in training explosive detection dogs, so if I’m out most of the day I won’t have any bookings then. Any other time I’m usually at home all day unless for things like shopping or gym, however if it’s a dog that needs fully time looking after I’ll make sure someone at home is keeping them company and I don’t go too far.

I have a big fenced back garden, and like to use South Norwood country park for walks as it’s very big. The way I care for them is dependant on what I am asked: Sleeping arrangements, dietary requirements, exercise needs, behavioural things like no jumping or no sofa. All comes down to how the owner wants me to take care of their dog.

A typical day
I try to learn as much as I can about your dog when I meet them. And I the activities that I do are usually adapted to whatever needs they have. Some are professional cuddle bugs some are professional fetchers!

I’ve had dogs my whole life. I’m originally from Portugal here I volunteered in a dog shelter there for 15 years. Moved to U.K. to study, but found a passion for dog training and have worked as an explosive detection dog handler and trainer now for a few years. I live with my partner and my cousin and his respective partner. So only adults at home who are all dog lovers. All dogs have different personalities so it’s nice to see them bond differently with each of us at home. Happy to do any at home visits before a booking and I try my very best to keep routine the same as what they have in their everyday life.

Nichola took wonderful care of my golden retriever, Lola, over several days. She kept me regularly updated, which gave me real peace of mind, and was incredibly flexible with our schedule. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.
Nichola was great with Ziggy, regular walks, cuddles on the sofa and great communication. Would definitely recommend!
It was the first time that Blue spent more than one night away, and Nichole was great! She’s super knowledgeable about dogs and training, was flexible with pick up/drop off, and Blue was restful and happy when he came back home :) thank you!
Nichola looked after my 7 month old Labrador puppy for 17 days whilst we were on holiday. My puppy was kept safe and came back happy and relaxed, having enjoyed her stay. She also learnt some new manners! Nichola clearly loves dogs and is very knowledgeable. She sent regular photo updates. Thank you for looking after my dog so well!!
