Pet care experience

Two humans and a friendly spaniel!

Hello! My name is Niamh and I live in SW London with my partner, Andy and our 2-year old Welsh Springer Spaniel, Murphy (he's the little red and white guy in my profile picture). Andy and I both grew up with dogs as kids and we're pretty easy going as owners- dogs are allowed on the furniture and upstairs etc. (provided they pay the cheese tax, of course). Murph usually spends his day curled up like a croissant or on neighbourhood watch from the back of the sofa while we work. We work from home most of the week and have Tooting Common right at the bottom of our road (60-second walk) so given we're in there every day, at least once per day, and our flat is quite spacious, we thought it would be nice for a furry pal to join us during the day, for a weekend, or simply for a walk on the Common. We take Murph out at lunch and play with him constantly throughout the day but thought a playmate would potentially be more fun for him (and them)! Murph is great with other dogs and has only every been playful and good-tempered towards them. :)

Doggy Day Care • jun. 01, 2026

Niamh took a very good care of my puppy, and helped him settle down and feel comfortable, which is no easy task as he is quite an anxious boy. Really appreciated all the updates and care provided 😊

Extremely grateful to Niamh looking after my Benji for 3 weeks. I couldn't be happier. She was reliable, caring, and kept me updated regularly with messages & photos. Benji was clearly well looked after and seems to be more happier & trained since back home, maybe he has 3 weeks vacation too! I highly recommend Niamh to anyone especially she has her own dog too which makes it a perfect companionship. I'm sure know who to contact on my next vacation.

Doggy Day Care • mar. 20, 2026

We used Niamh for two days of day care for my Labradoodle, Shaka. Shaka is quite a needy dog who takes time to warm to strangers. As such, on day one he was very reluctant to be left in new place with new people, however on the second day he was literally pulling me to their house and jumping at the front door to get in - this is probably the highest level of praise possible! Niamh (and Andy) were also great to deal with and super friendly - we’d 100% use them again!

Niamh was brilliant, really responsive and kept me posted on her Puzzle was doing. Puzzle clearly had a great day with her dog Murphy and I would 100% use her again. Thank you Niamh!!

We honestly couldn’t recommend Niamh more highly!!! She’s a genuine dog lover who is incredibly reliable, calm, and attentive - exactly the kind of person you want caring for your pet. Niamh is super dependable, easy to communicate with, and treats every dog like they’re her own. I’m quite unhinged when it comes to our golden retriever but I’d leave Nala with Niamh without thinking twice. Our golden retriever is obsessed with her. As a dog owner herself, she understands how much exercise, stimulation, and affection dogs need, and never gets put off by rain and mud. So look no further!

Niamh had looked after several of my dogs over the years and has always treated them as her own. She's reliably walked them, fed them, played with them and looked after them, often for several days or weekends. Their pet, Murphy, is a very friendly spaniel with lots of energy, perfect as a playmate to keep your own dog company and burn off some energy. I would highly recommend Niamh and Andy as pet sitters, they make a great team and would look after another dog as their own, easily slotting them into their routine with Murphy.

Pets

A typical day

We play every day and go for a walk 2-3 times per day- we're happy to let them run riot and get extra muddy before a bath at home. We provide treats and mentally stimulating games (search and find etc.) and also let dogs explore when tracking during a walk, as we find it helps to burn off some extra energy.
