Pet care experience
A college girl who misses her pets
I’m working remotely this summer, so I’m free to watch or walk your dog at any time! I’m well-versed in safety protocol, weather policy, time management, and, of course, energy matching. My own dogs back in Texas are ages 11 and 5, and I’ve cared for them since I was 12. I’ve potty trained puppies, as well as nurturing friendliness and fun tricks. I love cuddling, cleaning, walking, or just hanging out with dogs. I’m a responsible, organized, and fun-loving university student in my senior year. I love children and animals, and since moving away, I don’t get to spend a lot of time with either anymore. But back in Texas, I know all kinds of animals, from horses to lizards. And I serve in my church with children ages newborn to kindergarten. Kindness, fun, and joy are what I’m about, and I promise to take care of your babies as if they’re my own!

Ratings and reviews
We had a great experience with Nia! Our dog loved her right away, and we felt completely comfortable knowing she was in great hands. She took excellent care of her, made sure she was fed, gave her the treats we provided, and was very easy to communicate with. We would definitely love to hire her again for future walks!

I have left multiple of my pets in the care of Nia, and she has cared for them as her own. I have a very energetic Golden Retriever, and Nia fed her, gave her lots of attention, and took her on multiple hour-long walks a day. I also left my cat in her care, and she cared for her like her own. Nia loves animals, is very responsible, and does all that she can to make sure that their owners feel secure in leaving their animals with her.
Nia's warm and welcoming personality extends far beyond her naturally personable character and includes the way she tenderly cares for animals. Having grown up with dogs as family pets, she is well accustomed to the responsibilities that come with caring for them. Nia also spent a week looking after a kitten, making sure it felt engaged, comfortable, and loved throughout its stay. Her ability to adapt to the unique needs of different animals highlights her compassion and sense of responsibility. Nia’s genuine affection for pets is evident in every interaction. She consistently prioritizes their well-being and works to create a safe environment where they can thrive. With Nia, any pet is sure to feel right at home.
From as far back as I can remember Nia has always had such a heart for animals, from the smallest to the largest, from geckos to beluga whales. She is the one person I know can answer any of my questions whenever I'm taking care of dogs, since I have none of my own. She is quick to act, and extremely responsible. Nia has two dogs that she loves wholeheartedly, Jules and Gogi, and both are showered in love and their needs are always catered to.
Nia has been a dog owner since 2015. Even when she went away to college, she would love and nurture her two dogs every chance she gets. She often would be the one to take initiative to walk the dogs and make sure they are bathed and fed. As her parent, I have no doubt she would give the same type of attention to any other pet in her care. She is trustworthy and genuine. Having her in charge would be a huge blessing!
Nia is a great person to have around your pets. She loves them unconditionally and cares for them so much. I truly believe that they love her too. Her own dogs are always so happy and healthy (the cutest too)! Nia was also so so sweet to my late dog Spanky. She loved him like her own. I really appreciate her giving him extra love before he passed, and I'm sure he loved it too.

Schedule
My days are all open, and I’m flexible with really any times! This summer, all of my commitments are remote. My job and my internship are all on my own time and from the comfort of my apartment. However, it gets lonely, and I’d really love having some animal friends over to hang with and take care of!

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
For dogs, I walk at least once a day. Feed twice or thrice a day, depending on what’s right for them. Dogs are let outside at least every 8hrs, and I allow them on my furniture and bed if they like to cuddle! Cats are chillers. I nap with them, keep water ready for them, and feed them twice, morning and evening. I scoop out waste daily, and refresh litter boxes every two to three weeks, depending on the kind of litter. I play with them. I have a very pet-safe apartment for cats to run around in!
