Aspiring vet & long-time pet lover!
I’ve cared for a variety of different animals most of my life (dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, etc.), and I’ve spent hours volunteering and cleaning kennels at my local animal shelter. These experiences have led to me becoming someone who truly loves and embraces all aspects of animal care. I’ve seen and dealt with feisty, anxious, or rebellious animals, and throughout the years I’ve learned that patience goes a long way.

Did a great job looking after my cat with a pretty late request notice. Really appreciated going out of the way to get to him even with car issues.
Nia did an absolutely phenomenal job with our babies! We have never had a pet sitter before, but we decided we’d give it a go for this trip away from home. From the moment I saw her profile on Rover, I could tell she was such a good person and then once we met in person, I confirmed that! Nia took care of our 5 babies while we were in Tennessee, and completely put our minds at ease knowing the great care they were receiving!❤️ Nia consistently updated us with very detailed messages and the funniest/ cutest photos! (She’s really great at taking action shots😆) Every visit Nia made sure to make every animal feel super special and loved by dedicating time to do each of their favorite things (sitting outside, pets, playing with toys, giving treats, etc.) Nia even went out of her way to change up food to ensure everyone was happy with their meals when the animals started getting picky!😅 She also cleaned up the pets accidents with 0 hesitation! We could not be more thankful to have had Nia as our sitter, we feel blessed to have such an amazing person take care of the most important things in our lives! We look forward to having her again! I already know for a fact that all of our pets are going to miss her!🥹❤️
Nia was an absolutely fantastic pet sitter! She took wonderful care of our cat, Penny, for 10 days, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. She was prompt, reliable, and kept us updated throughout our trip with regular communication, which gave us great peace of mind. Penny is usually very shy around new people, but Nia was patient and caring, and somehow managed to make her feel comfortable. It was clear that Penny was in great hands. When we returned home, the house was spotless, and the litter box was clean and well maintained. It was such a relief to come back to a happy cat and a tidy home. We highly recommend Nia to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive, and compassionate pet sitter!
Nia did a wonderful job with my cats! Especially my boy, who tends to be very shy and skittish with new people. Will definitely try and book with her again in the future!

Schedule
I’m available to care for your pups/kitties any day of the week! Though, I am only able to do mornings and evenings on weekdays, and all day on weekends.

Safety, trust & environment
I will care for each animal depending on who they are, as well as the environment that’s available. I will also be pretty relaxed and practice caution for every animal. I can also be more energetic and active for my more extroverted buds!

A typical day
I like to spend time bonding with each animal, whether that’s playing their favorite game or with their favorite toy. I keep a laser pointer mouse on me for cats. I also love doing little races at the end of each walk with dogs and offering treats as a participation reward.
