As a freelance creative, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to prioritize pet care throughout the week. I’m usually available in the mornings, around lunchtime, and in the early evenings Monday through Thursday, and I’m available Friday through Sunday for walks, drop-ins, house sitting, and overnight care. I’m a big believer that pets thrive when they feel safe, loved, and understood. My goal is to make your time away as stress-free as possible by providing dependable care, lots of playtime, plenty of affection, and updates so you know your best friend is in good hands.

I am very sensitive and flexible to the care needed for each dog. I desire to meet their daily needs with a touch of love in everything that I do. I am able and willing to go the extra mile with each dog I care for - whether it be spending time with a dog after a walk, cleaning their paws after a walk in the rain and/or cleaning up their kennel so they can rest in a clean space. I also desire to keep the dog I’m caring for safe so I make sure that I navigate the neighborhood well, if I am walking the dog and keep myself alert during the walk. I also understand the value of trust-building when entering a home, and desire to create trust in safety when caring for a dog. I look forward to bonding with your dog soon!

A typical day
I love to spoil and excercise dogs mentally and physically. Whether it’s a game of tug of war, a sprint accross the park, or a fun game of keep away - I plan to end every activity with a good o’l tummy rub and/or back scratches.

Pet care experience
As a pet lover and dog owner myself, I love to love on dogs in my community and keep them company. They deserve the best care and support, always! I have grown up with dogs and have raised a pup myself over the past 14 years named Charlie (he’s a mini cockapoo). He is my greatest joy and I look forward to spending time with him always. I’m well versed in leash training, treat allotment, games + excercise, and tummy rubs/back scratches 😉

Nia cares for every dog she meets like they are her own. She priorities then and makes sure they feel comforted while their owner is away. She is respectful and attentive to all wishes of the owner.
Nia, is an amazing human and dog caregiver. She has cared for my dog on multiple occasions when we have gone out of town. Nia takes the time to understand our families relationship to our dog, his disposition, needs, etc. and does whatever she can to make sure can step in without skipping a beat. She over communicates, and is always available for updates and pictures. I have referred her to many others and will continue to do so.
Nia is amazing with our dog! We have a pitbull and many people aren’t aware of the complexities that come along with that. Nia put us at ease the moment she met our dog and communicated with us her knowledge making us that much more comfortable. She made sure our dog was walked and played with while making sure he felt safe. Not only did she take amazing care of our dog, our home was well taken care of and better than we left it when we returned home. Nia is always our first call when we have to leave our dog. We are so grateful to have such wonderful care for our beloved pup!
