Dogs have been a huge part of my life for over 12 years. I’ve raised my own Norfolk Terrier from a young age into his senior years, which has given me experience across every stage of a dog’s life. We’ve always loved going on walks together—when he was younger, I would take him to new neighborhoods and the beach for fun and stimulation. Now that he’s older, I’ve taken on a more attentive caregiving role. I manage his daily medications, keep up with frequent vet visits, and adjust his routine to match his needs, including shorter, slower walks around our neighborhood. Caring for him has taught me patience, awareness, and how to prioritize a dog’s comfort, safety, and happiness. I’ve also had experience with high-energy dogs. During college, I lived with a 1-year-old Australian Shepherd, where I regularly helped with walks and playtime—lots of tug-of-war, fetch, and keeping up with his energy. It gave me a great balance of experience with both calm senior dogs and active, playful ones. Whether your dog needs a relaxed walk, extra patience, or lots of play and energy, I’m confident in adapting to their personality and making sure they feel safe, loved, and excited every time we’re together.
