For more active dogs, I incorporate play such as fetch or interactive games to help them burn off energy in a safe and positive way. Throughout the day, I provide playtime and engagement based on each pet’s preferences — whether that’s toys, gentle training-style games, or simply quality one-on-one attention. I also make sure pets have time to rest and recharge, especially puppies and senior dogs who benefit from a calm, steady pace. For cats, activities may include feather wand play, laser pointer games, window watching, or quiet companionship. I’m attentive to each cat’s comfort level and let them lead the interaction, whether they’re playful, independent, or affectionate. During downtime, I ensure pets are comfortable, hydrated, and relaxed, following their usual feeding schedules and routines.
