We had a wonderful experience! He was incredibly kind, understanding, and very flexible with both our drop-off and pick-up times. He kept us updated and always responded quickly when we checked in to see how Lilly was doing, which gave us so much peace of mind. The best sign that Lilly had a great time was when we were leaving—after we walked down the stairs of his apartment building, she actually pulled to go back up to his place! That says it all. We would absolutely trust him with Lilly again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.

Nelson loves all animals but has a special bond with dogs of all sizes. I often joke that it’s because they can tell he’s one of them. He is really attuned to their behaviour and can identify when a dog is nervous, needs comfort, space, exercise, or stimulation. He is also able to tell the difference between playful and aggressive behaviours, which can sometimes look similar. He has often taken care of friends’ dogs when they were on holiday, for varied periods of time (a few days up to 1-2 weeks). He was also a member of the Borrowmydoggy service in the UK (similar concept to Rover) for many years, during which he was entrusted with many people’s dogs.
