I currently have a few regular evening events I attend as well as occasional volunteer commitments, and I do help my parents with my special-needs sister at times. Usually I assist with appointments, but I do also provide backup care when necessary. Most of the time, these commitments wouldn’t keep me out of the home for more than about three hours at most, but I will also just adjust my calendar and/or provide as much advance notice for anything longer or more demanding. Let me know of any special needs or behaviors your dog(s) and/or cat(s) may have ahead of time. I especially like to be aware of an animal’s energy levels and whether or not any of your pets are known to struggle with anxiety or boredom and what behaviors may result. Any particular medical/age concerns are also something important for me to know so I can provide said animals with the best care possible.
A typical day
Depending on what animals I am watching, as well as their personalities and schedules, my time with them could involve a lot of playing, walks, snuggles, belly rubs and back scratches, and anything else your pets like to do! As far as walks go, I like to let your dog(s) take the lead as much as I can, meaning I do my best to respond to how long they like to walk and where they like to go, as well as trying to strike a good balance between exercise and exploration.

All my life, I have owned and/or looked after someone’s animal(s). I adore dogs and cats, and will walk, feed, play with them, and more. I have returned to this platform after being away for some time, ready to give love and care to more wonderful animals!

Nellie was wonderful! She was very communicative and kept me updated throughout her stay. She did a great job dealing with my dog’s special diet. And my home was nice and clean when I got back. We will use her again.
Nellie is polite, attentive, and great with my cat and dog. They are older and just need a lot of snuggles - and this time of year is hard for my dog with thunderstorms - but Nellie handled it well and sent cute photos. After our first shorter booking we ironed out some details and preferences and everything went very smoothly this week. I am already trying to book more times!
Nellie was caring and attentive to Kiki and a good communicator with us while we were away.
