I love animals and getting outside!
I've had dogs since I was born, as well as house sitting for many folks. I've taken care of dogs with medical needs, of big and small dogs, as well as horses and chickens! I've bathed a Great Dane sprayed by a skunk before (not easy) and cleaned up many an accident. I'm a full time student without any pets at the moment, but I love going for walks and getting out of the house anytime I have free. I like to spend my weekends outside and exploring. I live in an apartment with a small front yard that isn't fenced in, but it is downtown near many pet friendly parks and walkable areas. If in another person's home, I am overly cautious to make sure the pet is comfortable but also doesn't get out or into anything they shouldn't, just because there's a new person in the house.

I want to provide the best care for your pet(s) as possible. I would stick to any routines the pet has, as well as feeding schedules and walking schedules. I know how hard it can be to leave your pets in the care of others, and I want to make it as easy as possible for owners and their furry friends.

Nellie was amazing! She watched our two dogs for two weeks, and we felt completely comfortable knowing they were in such good hands. We had told her ahead of time that we love getting lots of updates while we’re away, and she was wonderful about keeping us in the loop and sending pictures throughout the trip. Our dogs unfortunately had some digestive issues while we were gone, and Nellie handled everything incredibly well. She always let us know what was going on, asked questions when needed, and took such great care of them. She also handled an unexpected stressful situation with one of the dogs really calmly and responsibly, which we especially appreciated being so far away. She took them on walks every day, gave them lots of attention, and clearly cared about making sure they were happy and well taken care of. And somehow, after two weeks with our dogs, we came home to a house that was cleaner than when we left it! We really couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Nellie is responsible, thoughtful, caring, and great at communicating, and we would absolutely have her watch our dogs again. We’d recommend her without hesitation!
Nellie was a perfect dog sitter for Barkley. She was extremely comfortable with him and he took to her right away. She stayed at our home and the house was in great shape when we returned home. I will definitely contact her again when we need help caring for Barkley.
Nellie was a great sitter for our cat, who absolutely loved her and even let her pick her up; an honour not bestowed upon many! Nellie gave updates at each visit, and sent pictures so we could see our kitty was doing well :) We would definitely book Nellie again!

Nellie H. is my wonderful daughter ! She is gentle , kind , thoughtful and fun!! Not to mention smart , trustworthy ( very) and able to judge a situation and also anticipate actions . She has house/pet sat, for many friends and been recommended by church members . She has looked after everything from chickens to tortoises, horses , dogs and a parrot . She is able to administer medication , trim nails and ask for help if needed ! She is honest and reliable ! Not afraid to take on a challenge and put the animals first . I highly recommend Nellie !
I was Nellie's HS Band Director and Conductor for Band, Jazz band & Combo throughout her high school career. She played tenor saxophone & piano and was a loyal, dedicated & conscientious young musician. Nellie loves animals as she grew up with numerous cats & dogs. She has house sat and taken care of our dogs, cats and horses while we were away. Nellie took wonderful care of our loved ones who greatly appreciated her warmth & affection. I highly recommend Nellie as a responsible & loving pet caregiver.

Schedule
I am new to the area, so getting out and exploring is a must for me! I love animals and would be very happy if I got to spend an hour or more taking a furry friend out on a walk with me.
