Active household-tired happy dogs!
I have been a certified dog trainer at a large pet retailer for the past 7 yrs and I've hosted many dogs for friends and students, while their parents were away. My own border collie mix, Weazel, is the love of my life and a good companion to other dogs. I'm also trained in Pet First Aid and am an expert at reading dog body language.

It was so nice to have Nellie look after Bilbo who’s difficult and reacts towards other dogs. We were able to take our family on vacation without a worry. She kept us updated daily and sent us pictures on their forest walks. I highly recommend both as a trainer and dog sitter.
Nellie was amazing with our two dogs. She provided stimulating activities and handled training challenges effectively. Her dog Louise is well trained and sweet.
Luna has enjoyed 2 stays with Nellie (and Louise) filled with walks, swimming and cuddles. I enjoyed receiving videos/pictures and updates during her stay.
Nellie provides excellent care for our dog when we are out of town. I always rest easy knowing she has a range of fun-filled activities lined up for our girl!
Thanks Nellie, Daisy has another great stay with you and Louise. Came home a happy, tired pup. From photos and videos you sent, she sure looks very comfortable and at home with you. Special kudos to Louise for being patient with our Diva girl LOL!

Schedule
I recently left a full-time job with a large pet retailer where I was the trainer, food coach and residential expert on all things dog. I'm now devoting all my time to boarding and training dogs at my home in the Ottawa area.

I have a fenced yard and a playful 4 yr old border collie mix, who is happy to keep your dog company. The dogs will never be alone as someone will always be in the house. It's a large house so if the dogs need to have a break from each, it can be accomplished with baby gates, so that no dog feels isolated. I always let the dog initiate the amount of interaction/affection they want from me, e.g. full on cuddle bug or prefers to lie on the floor in the hall because it's cooler than the couch.

A typical day
I'll let Weazel tell you... I start with half of breakfast, (mom says it's not good to run on a full tummy) then a 45 min - 1hr hike through Shea Woods (an off leash park). We come home to the rest of my breakfast and then I rest for 18 million minutes (while she does a thing called puttering). Then I get to play tug or keep away with a toy in the backyard. When doggie friends are here, we tear up the backyard and RUUUNNNN! Sometimes I play puzzles or we go to stores to do training stuff or if it's super rainy, we watch a movie and cuddle. After dinner, we go the the big park at Bruce Pit so I can get dirty in the puddles with friends. Oh my, I almost forgot the chewing...must have time for chewing!!! Later it's time for bed, and I'm ok sharing my bed (mom's bed) with new furry friends. I'm really glad my mommy rescued me. Nellie here, I paid her in raw turkey neck and a duck foot to say nice things. ?
