I’m currently a student at Swansea University and I have classes in the mornings some days and some days in the late afternoon. I’m available to board at the weekends.

When I’m in a pet owner’s home, I make sure to respect their space and stick closely to the pet’s usual routine so they feel safe and settled. I pay attention to feeding times, walks, play, and any little quirks the pet might have. I also make sure to give regular updates so owners know their pet is in good hands. Our pets are quite literally our children and so I get that pet owners want updates every 5 seconds. It’s important to me that both the pet and their owner feel comfortable and at ease the whole time.

I like to know as much as I can before looking after a pet just to make sure I’m giving them the best care possible. Little things like their routine, what they eat, how they are on walks and what they love (or hate) really help. It’s also super useful to know if they’ve got any health issues, allergies, or behaviours to keep an eye on like if they get nervous around other dogs or don’t like loud noises. Basically anything you think I should know to make your pet feel safe, happy and at home with me.
A typical day
It really depends on the pet’s personality but I love going on long walks, playing fetch, tug of war or just having a good run around if they’ve got the energy for it! For calmer pets I’m happy to keep things relaxed with gentle strolls, cuddles, or some chill time together. I also love getting to know what each pet enjoys whether it’s a favourite toy, game or just belly rubs on the sofa.

Pet care experience
I’m a uni student and a big dog lover. I have a Jack Russell back home so I know what it’s like to be away from your baby and want the best care for them. I’ve also helped look after my friend’s Jack Russell, so I’m used to high-energy dogs and keeping them happy and active. I’m patient, reliable and I’d honestly love the chance to share some of the love I’m missing from my own dog while making sure yours feels safe, loved and cared for.
