I work full-time M-F and am available to make house visits and/or take pets for walks before 8am, during the noon hour and anytime after 5pm. I am available all day on Saturdays and Sundays.

I provide an experienced and loving environment for all pets in my care, whether my own or my client’s. I am experienced with blind, deaf and partially paralyzed dogs, including assisting them with getting outside for bathroom breaks and cleanup if needed. I am also familiar with food and medication administration and monitoring due to various medical conditions, including Cushings, pancreatitis, lack of teeth, liver/kidney issues and others conditions which may require closer assistance and monitoring during feeding times. I want my furry family members to live their longest, healthiest and happiest lives possible and I will treat your pets exactly as if they were my own. They will receive the utmost care, love and attention while they are my responsibility. I do not use any substances (non-smoker, non-drinker) and do not use or store toxic or hazardous chemicals such as pesticides, herbicides, antifreeze, or any other potentially harmful cleaning or treatment agent in my home. I have a folding fabric wagon that I can use for any animals with mobility issues that still enjoy getting out of the house.

I have experience with dogs of all sizes, but I need to know if your dog has any recall skills and how well they respond to strangers for recall. I also need to know if your dog has EVER jumped a fence, even if it was years ago. Any physical ailments, such as arthritis, declining vision or hearing, hip dysplasia, etc. is also necessary so I can cater their activities to their limits and safety levels.
A typical day
I love to take dogs to local parks to help with their physical and mental health. Even when my dogs' vision and hearing has faded, they still need the mental stimulation that comes from sniffing and exploring, so that is an activity that all animals in my care can experience if their owners wish. Dogs with high activity needs can be either run on a long slack leash, or taken to a fully enclosed & fenced park (owner permission permitting) for running, games of fetch and smelling all the fun and stimulating smells!

Pet care experience
I was raised in a dog and cat living family, where we were never without multiple labradors and at least one cat. I have continued that tradition by having my own dogs, cats and fish my entire adult life (20+ years of adulthood now!). I have experience with special needs pets, including mobility, hearing and vision impaired animals as well as administering medications and monitoring food and water intake.

Necia is a thru and thru pet lover - she loves rescuing dogs in bad or serious situations, and would have a houseful of all kinds of animals if she didn't live in town. She has a huge heart, maybe to a fault as far as dogs go, and would be a very loving, kind caregiver to your pets. Her house and yard is cat and dog safe and makes your animal feel right at home.
