This is my full-time job and I have a very flexible schedule. I usually do walks + outdoor off-leash play time in the fully fenced in backyard around 7:30a, 11a, 3p and 7:30p. If weather is extreme, dogs still get potty breaks planned accordingly.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a 4 bedroom home, a fully fenced in front and backyard, and 3 dogs of my own: Luna - Beagle mix, Rusty - Golden Husky mix, and Tito - Pomeranian. All three are very dog friendly and well mannered, they love to play and are very respectful of other's boundaries. I accept up to 4 guest dogs at a time who must pass a strict temperament assessment during our Meet & Greet. All dogs are fed in separate rooms for safety and there is a human supervisor with dogs at all times 24/7 (usually me, and on some occasions, my partner or an approved support person if my partner and I are unavailable). Our house is arranged with dogs in mind so it is incredibly dog friendly and dog safe, our lives revolve around them. Our number one priority is each dog's safety and comfort.

Information Nayeli A. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any behavioral issues like separation anxiety, resource guarding, or any hints of aggression. It's very important for me to know their routine (food, meds, exercise, etc) so that they can have a successful stay with us :D!
A typical day
A typical day at PLDS starts with a walk first thing in the morning (7:30a) followed by breakfast. Once everyone for daycare gets checked in, we spend time out in the backyard for some off-leash fun followed by paw wiping and a treat once we get back indoors. We repeat the same thing at 3pm and then at 7:30p we take a last walk followed by dinner for everyone. In between, we spend time indoors in the newly renovated PLDS Puppy Play Room equipped with tons of cozy clean beds and toys.

24/7 Constant Loving Care
Pet care experience
With over 21 years of experience in professional pet care, I’m the proud owner of Puppy Love Dog Sitting, LLC (PLDS)—a trusted, privately owned business operating out of Ulster County, NY that I launched in West Hollywood back in 2004. While I’m new to Rover (which explains the low review count and lack of repeat clients here), I’ve built a loyal clientele over the years who book with me directly. I have a ton of local references available upon request. My background includes managing a high-end doggy daycare (30 dogs a day on average) and grooming salon in Los Angeles—where our clients were often of the Hollywood A-list variety. Rest assured, your dog will be treated like a star in my care! In 2016, I moved to New York City and pivoted to dog walking. Now that I’ve settled in cozy Highland, I’m thrilled to offer boarding and daycare in my dog-centric home. There’s plenty of space in both my heart and home for more four-legged friends! 🐾 I’m trained in canine first aid/CPR, basic obedience, nutrition, and medication administration, and have extensive experience with dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs with special needs. I treat all pets like family—with patience, respect, and a deep love for what I do. I am licensed, bonded and insured. I also offer pick-up and drop-off services for a small additional fee. My home features a fully fenced front and backyard and is located on a quiet, dog-friendly street in the heart of Highland. Let’s make your dog’s stay safe, fun, and full of love!
Reviews

Nayeli was great from start to finish. My original plan fell through at the last minute and I messaged Nayeli the day before my trip. She was super responsive and made things happen quickly. Most importantly, she provided a safe place for my senior dog, including hourly pictures to let me know he was happy. I recommend Nayeli to anyone looking for a safe place for their furry friend(s).

Nayeli is an amazing choice for watching your pooch. When you travel, the last thing you want is to worry about your dog while away. So glad we found Nayeli! Our yellow lab will be spending a lot of time with her, as we travel quite a bit.

Nayeli was amazing! Great at communication and providing updates throughout the day, and she accommodated some timing challenges very generously. My dog Ernie seemed happy and comfortable throughout the day, and like he had an overall great time! I'd highly recommend :)
This was Nala's first overnight at Nayeli's and we couldn't have had a better experience. Nayeli gave us regular updates and was super accommodating with pick up and drop off. Just a great experience overall. We will be booking with Nayeli again for sure.
