Hello! My name is Nathan, I'm an avid explorer and am always seeking out nature! Always feel free to message me so I can take your precious pooch out on a journey! I've been taking care of pets in Flagstaff since summer of 2021! Since beginning, I've accumulated many experiences of all kinds; hiking through snow with multiple dogs, having leashes break, and getting covered in immense amounts of drool are some of my peak moments! I've worked with puppies going on their first walks, and have also taken a few friends on their last walk. Whatever you and your pup need, I'm here for you! My experience with housing, raising, and loving animals stems back to my earliest memories as a child. My mother was a dog sitter full time, often times staying at the clients house. Whether for good or bad, it was common for me to be delegated the tasks of feeding, walking, and playing...while my mom was left with the laborious job of cuddling. I grew to love the task of taking care of dogs, never raising one as my own but relishing in the unconditional love that I found in others. My professional experience as a dog carer took place in a dog motel in California, where at times we housed over 75 dogs. I did a lot of the dirty work... stuff you can probably imagine on your own! For the few months I worked there, I learned how to work with dogs of all shapes and sizes, naughty and nice. I gained much second hand knowledge about their psychology, what behavior to reward, and how to assert dominance without being unkind or unnecessarily aggressive. As of now I live in a spacious apartment with my three roomates, and humble kitten companion Miyuki. She is small, but has a huge spirit, and is generally shy around new people and animals. She's only made a few furry friends, so I'm hoping she'll meet some kind pups or kittens to bond with.
