Over the past two years, we’ve had the privilege of caring for more than 150 dogs through Rover — from energetic puppies to senior dogs needing extra attention. Each stay has helped us refine our approach to meet every pet’s unique needs, routines, and personalities. Our family has always loved animals, and our three kids have even volunteered at Animal Allies, learning hands-on how to care for pets with patience and compassion. Laura is home full-time, ensuring dogs are rarely left alone and always have company. We provide a safe, structured, and loving environment where dogs can play, relax, and feel like part of the family. Whether your pet loves long walks, fetch in the yard, or cozy naps inside, we make sure they’re happy, comfortable, and cared for like our own.

Mosby had a great time with Laura and Nathan! He got lots of play time (his favorite) in their big backyard and we got so many fun photos of his stay. Would highly recommend!
Laura was so awesome with my little guy Simon! He also liked her right away and just wanted her attention. I got cute update photos and a little report card. She also texted me a few times is day-long stay so I knew how he was doing. He got along perfectly with their cat and another dog that was there. I feel very confident with leaving Simon with them again!!
Laura always has great communication, and we love getting updates about how the visit/stay is going. This time, our pup stayed the night. We don’t have to board him often, so we’re normally very anxious about it. But we felt very comfortable leaving him over night with Laura & Nathan. We know he was well taken care of care of, got lots of play time, and was treated like family.
Had a great first Rover experience with Laura and Nathan!! They had a perfect set up for my pup and instantly won him over so I left with no doubts he was in good hands. Appreciated them giving me a tour of the spaces he'd be living in, talking over their processes and experience, and the photos Laura shared during the day showing he was having a blast. At pick up, she also shared some minor incidents of my pup not being on his best behavior that she didn't think was a big deal just as an fyi. I highly valued that input because it's not something he does when I'm around and now that I know it's a thing I can try to nip that behavior in the bud so it doesn't become a larger issue. Would highly recommend Laura and Nathan and hope to rebook next time I'm in the area and need a dog sitter.
Chloe was very happy. Nathan and Laura were very accommodating when we had to adjust our dates. Chloe will be back for the next vacation!
Jamila came home happy, played till tired, I can tell she was loved. She even smelled good. She got to play in a yard with animal friends—wild and pets. Her favorite! Plenty of picture check ins set me at ease, exclamation point was that they came through while I was being picked up by 911 and admitted in the hospital for 3 days.

Schedule
Laura is home full-time, so dogs are rarely alone and receive consistent care throughout the day. Our daily routine is designed to keep pets comfortable, active, and on schedule — just like they would be at home. • Morning: Potty breaks, playtime, and breakfast. • Midday: Walks, outdoor time in our fenced yard, and rest indoors. • Afternoon: More playtime and plenty of attention from the family. • Evening: Family dinner with the dogs nearby, evening walk, and wind-down time before bed.

As a Rover Star Sitter with over 100 five-star reviews and no negative feedback, we take pride in providing a level of care that families can trust completely. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always our top priorities. We live on a quiet cul-de-sac with a fully fenced yard and two acres of space, giving dogs plenty of room to explore and play safely. Our home is clean, calm, and designed with pets in mind. We’re also located only 1.7 miles from the Duluth airport which works out well for people flying on vacation. We follow each dog’s routine closely — from feeding and medication to bedtime habits — to ensure consistency and comfort. Every pet we host is treated with the same care, attention, and love we’d want for our own.

A typical day
Our days start with morning potty breaks and playtime in our fenced backyard, followed by breakfast and plenty of attention. Throughout the day, dogs enjoy a mix of walks, play sessions, and downtime — all based on their individual routines and personalities. In the evening, our family enjoys dinner together — and the dogs are always part of the moment, relaxing nearby and feeling right at home. After dinner, we wind down with evening walks, snuggles, or quiet time indoors. Every dog ends their day feeling safe, loved, and part of our family.
