Pet care experience

I am returning to Rover after a long hiatus while pursuing my PhD. Before my beloved Stella (black pitty) passed away, we had a wonderful time dog-sitting for clients. After many years of grief and a very, very busy life in my doctoral program, I have another doggy companion, Bruce. We enjoy working from home together and are excited to care for your pets! Training my boxer, Bruce, has been such a rewarding experience, and we hope to have the chance to help others on their journeys to build strong connections between handlers and their beloved companions.

I truly enjoyed my experience with Nathaly taking care of Chance while I was on vacation. She is very nice and professional with how she handles her boarding. She frequently sent pictures and messages letting me know how Chance was doing, which was very comforting. I would absolutely recommend her services to everyone! Thank you, Nathaly!!

Our Husky “Lexi” has been going to the same sitter for two years but they’re time here (military) was up and they had moved back to the mainland. At first we thought it would’ve been difficult to find another friendly, trustworthy sitter....until we met Nathaly here on Rover. She was able to accommodate us by watching Lexi for a whole day on last minute notice. It was a huge relief to be able to find another excellent. friendly sitter for our 2 1/2 year old Husky. Thanks Nathaly for being there and taking care of our Lexi! Hope she gets to hang out with you and Stella soon!

I wish I had a better first experience. First off, my puppy is as energetic as they come. She has a bit of separation anxiety, and gets nervous in the car. To start, on my way to drop my dog off, she pooped all over my car. When we got to Nat’s house she was able to spray my dog off with the hose, and I got wet in the process and needed to go home and change before going back to work. An hour in she sent me a couple pictures of the two dogs playing with each other and it was really nice to see she was having fun. 4 hours later, I was then notified with pictures that my dog had been left alone and got a bit destructive. Unfortunately, I didn’t know at any point she would be left alone otherwise I’d just keep her at home and definitely make sure she wasn’t left loose. I was told to immediately have her picked up 5 hours in to her planned 2 day, 11 hour stays. I think we were wrong on both ends for how it was handled, but I know given the circumstances it was a little out of hand for her. After this experience I’ve learned to be sure who ever may watch her know she cannot he left out of sight. I also learned I can’t really trust anyone to care for my dog even though that’s what they’re being paid to do. I think it’s important for both the sitter and owner to let each other know if at any point the dog will be left alone. I’ve never left her by herself free to roam around, and wouldn’t ever leave a dog or child unattended especially for the first time in a new environment. I would still recommend her as a sitter, she was very nice & answered questions promptly, it just didn’t work for us.
